2. And as men traveled in the east, they found a valley in the land of Shinar and made their home there.	2. 4. Then they said, "Come, let us build a city for ourselves, with a tower that touches the heavens. Let us make a name for ourselves, or else we may be sent everywhere over the whole earth."	4. And they said ^H559 , Go to ^H3051 , let us build ^H1129 us a city ^H5892 and a tower ^H4026 , whose top ^H7218 may reach unto heaven ^H8064 ; and let us make ^H6213 us a name ^H8034 , lest ^H6435 we be scattered abroad ^H6327 upon ^H5921 the face ^H6440 of the whole ^H3605 earth ^H776 .
5. Then the Lord came down to see the city and the tower that the sons of men had built.	5. And the LORD ^H3068 came down ^H3381 to see ^H7200 ^H853 the city ^H5892 and the tower ^H4026 , which ^H834 the children ^H1121 of men ^H120 built ^H1129 .
6. And the Lord said, "See, they are one people, and they all have the same language. This is only the begin-ning of what they will do. Now all they plan to do will be possible for them.	6. 8. So the Lord sent them everywhere over the whole earth. And they stopped building the city.	8. So the LORD ^H3068 scattered them abroad ^H6327 ^H853 from thence ^H4480 ^H8033 upon ^H5921 the face ^H6440 of all ^H3605 the earth ^H776 : and they left off ^H2308 to build ^H1129 the city ^H5892 .
9. So the name of the city was Babel, because there the Lord mixed up the language of the whole earth. The Lord sent the people everywhere over the whole earth.	9. 10. These are the children of Shem. When Shem had lived 100 years, he became the father of Arpachshad, two years after the flood.	10. 25. Nahor lived 119 years after the birth of Terah. He had other sons and daughters.	25. And Nahor ^H5152 lived ^H2421 after ^H310 he begot ^H3205 ^H853 Terah ^H8646 a hundred ^H3967 and nineteen ^H8672 ^H6240 years ^H8141 , and begot ^H3205 sons ^H1121 and daughters ^H1323 .
26. When Terah had lived seventy years, he became the father of Abram, Nahor and Haran.	26. And Terah ^H8646 lived ^H2421 seventy ^H7657 years ^H8141 , and begot ^H3205 ^H853 Abram ^H87 , ^H853 Nahor ^H5152 , and Haran ^H2039 .
27. Now these are the children of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor and Haran. And Haran became the father of Lot.	27. *Now these ^H428 are* the generations ^H8435 of Terah ^H8646 : Terah ^H8646 begot ^H3205 ^H853 Abram ^H87 , ^H853 Nahor ^H5152 , and Haran ^H2039 ; and Haran ^H2039 begot ^H3205 ^H853 Lot ^H3876 .**
28. Haran died with his father Terah beside him in the land of his birth, Ur of the Chaldeans.	28. And Haran ^H2039 died ^H4191 before ^H5921 ^H6440 his father ^H1 Terah ^H8646 in the land ^H776 of his nativity ^H4138 , in Ur ^H218 of the Chaldees ^H3778 .
29. Abram and Nahor both married. The name of Abram's wife was Sarai. The name of Nahor's wife was Milcah, the daughter of Haran. Haran was the father of Milcah and Iscah.	29. And Abram ^H87 and Nahor ^H5152 took ^H3947 them wives ^H802 : the name ^H8034 of Abram ^H87 's wife ^H802 was Sarai ^H8297 ; and the name ^H8034 of Nahor ^H5152 's wife ^H802 , Milcah ^H4435 , the daughter ^H1323 of Haran ^H2039 , the father ^H1 of Milcah ^H4435 , and the father ^H1 of Iscah ^H3252 .
30. But Sarai could not give birth. She had no child.	30. *But Sarai ^H8297 was ^H1961 barren ^H6135 ; she had* no ^H369 child ^H2056 .**
31. Terah took his son Abram, and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran, and his daughterin-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram and they went together from Ur of the Chaldeans to the land of Canaan. But when they went as far as Haran, they made their home there.	31. 32. Terah lived 205 years, and he died in Haran.	32. And the days ^H3117 of Terah ^H8646 were ^H1961 two hundred ^H3967 and five ^H2568 years ^H8141 : and Terah ^H8646 died ^H4191 in Haran ^H2771 .
