3. If I will go into the tent of my house, if I go up on the couch of my bed,
|
3. Surely H518 I will not come H935 into the tabernacle H168 of my house H1004 , nor H518 go up H5927 into H5921 my bed H6210 H3326 ;

4. if I give sleep to my eyes, slumber to my eyelids,
|
4. I will not H518 give H5414 sleep H8153 to mine eyes H5869 , or slumber H8572 to mine eyelids H6079 ,
|
|
5. until I search out a place for Jehovah, dwellings for the Mighty One of Jacob.

5. Until H5704 I find out H4672 a place H4725 for the LORD H3068 , a habitation H4908 for the mighty H46 God of Jacob H3290 .

6. Lo, we have heard of it at Ephratah; we found it in the fields of the forest;

7. we will enter into His tabernacles; we will worship at His footstool.

8. Arise, O Jehovah, into Your rest; You, and the ark of Your strength.

9. Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and let Your saints shout for joy.

10. For Your servant David's sake do not turn away the face of Your anointed.

11. Jehovah has sworn to David in truth; He will not turn from it; I will set one of the fruit of your body on the throne for you.

12. If your sons will keep My covenant and My testimonies which I will teach them, their sons shall also sit on the throne for You forever.

13. Jehovah has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling-place.

14. This is My rest till forever; I will dwell here; I have desired it.

15. Blessing I will bless her poor with provisions; I will satisfy her poor with food.

16. And I will clothe her priests with salvation; and her saints shall surely shout.

17. I will make the horn of David to sprout; I have arranged a lamp for My Anointed.

18. I will clothe his enemies with shame, but His crown shall flourish upon him.
