The soul which shall have sinned, and Gr. overlooking overlooked; i. e. very decidedly, which in the end is guiltily or willfully; Hebraism willfully overlooked the commandments of the Lord, and shall have dealt falsely in the affairs of his neighbour in the matter of a deposit, or concerning fellowship, or concerning plunder, or has in anything wronged his neighbour,

If H3588 a soul H5315 sin H2398 , and commit H4603 a trespass H4604 against the LORD H3068 , and lie H3584 unto his neighbor H5997 in that which was delivered him to keep H6487 , or H176 in fellowship H8667 H3027 , or H176 in a thing taken away by violence H1498 , or H176 hath deceived H6231 H853 his neighbor H5997 ;

3. or has found that which was lost, and shall have lied concerning it, and shall have sworn unjustly concerning any one of all the things, whatsoever a man may do, so as to sin hereby;
|
3. Or H176 have found H4672 that which was lost H9 , and lieth H3584 concerning it , and sweareth H7650 falsely H5921 H8267 ; in H5921 any H259 of all H4480 H3605 these that H834 a man H120 doeth H6213 , sinning H2398 therein H2007 :

4. it shall come to pass, whensoever he shall have sinned, and transgressed, that he shall restore the plunder which he has seized, or redress the injury which he has committed, or restore the deposit which was entrusted to him, or the lost article which he has found of any Gr. thing kind, about which he swore unjustly, he shall even restore it in full; and he shall add to it a fifth part besides; he shall restore it to him whose it is in the day in which he happens to be convicted.

4. Then it shall be H1961 , because H3588 he hath sinned H2398 , and is guilty H816 , that he shall restore H7725 H853 that H1500 which H834 he took violently away H1497 , or H176 H853 the thing H6233 which H834 he hath deceitfully gotten H6231 , or H176 H853 that H6487 which H834 was delivered him to keep H6485 H854 , or H176 H853 the lost thing H9 which H834 he found H4672 ,

5. And he shall bring to the Lord for his trespass, a ram of the flock, without blemish, of value to the amount of the thing in which he trespassed.

Or H176 all that H4480 H3605 about which H834 he hath sworn H7650 H5921 falsely H8267 ; he shall even restore H7999 it in the principal H7218 , and shall add H3254 the fifth part H2549 more thereto H5921 , and give H5414 it unto him to whom H834 it H1931 appertaineth , in the day H3119 of his trespass offering H819 .

6. And the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord, and he shall be forgiven for any one of all the things which he did and trespassed in it.

6. And he shall bring H935 his trespass offering H817 unto the LORD H3068 , a ram H352 without blemish H8549 out of H4480 the flock H6629 , with thy estimation H6187 , for a trespass offering H817 , unto H413 the priest H3548 :

7. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

7. And the priest H3548 shall make an atonement H3722 for H5921 him before H6440 the LORD H3068 : and it shall be forgiven H5545 him for H5921 any thing H259 of all H4480 H3605 that H834 he hath done H6213 in trespassing H819 therein.

8. Charge Aaron and his sons, saying,

8. And the LORD H3068 spoke H1696 unto H413 Moses H4872 , saying H559 ,
|
9. This is the law of whole-burnt-offering; this is the whole-burnt-offering Gr. on in its burning on the altar all the night till the morning; and the fire of the altar shall burn on it, it shall not be put out.

Command H6680 H853 Aaron H175 and his sons H1121 , saying H559 , This H2063 is the law H8451 of the burnt offering H5930 : It H1931 is the burnt offering H5930 , because of H5921 the burning H4169 upon H5921 the altar H4196 all H3605 night H3915 unto H5704 the morning H1242 , and the fire H784 of the altar H4196 shall be burning H3344 in it.

10. And the priest shall put on the linen tunic, and he shall put the linen drawers on his body; and shall take away that which has been thoroughly burnt, which the fire shall have consumed, even the whole-burnt-offering from the altar, and he shall put it near the altar.

And the priest H3548 shall put on H3847 his linen H906 garment H4055 , and his linen H906 breeches H4370 shall he put H3847 upon H5921 his flesh H1320 , and take up H7311 H853 the ashes H1880 which H834 the fire H784 hath consumed H398 with H854 the burnt offering H5930 on H5921 the altar H4196 , and he shall put H7760 them beside H681 the altar H4196 .

11. And he shall put off his robe, and put on another robe, and he shall take forth the offering that has been burnt without the camp into a clean place.

11. And he shall put off H6584 H853 his garments H899 , and put on H3847 other H312 garments H899 , and carry forth H3318 H853 the ashes H1880 without H413 H4480 H2351 the camp H4264 unto H413 a clean H2889 place H4725 .

12. And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it, and shall not be Or, suffered to go out extinguished; and the priest shall burn on it wood every morning, and shall heap on it the whole-burnt-offering, and shall lay on it the fat of the peace-offering.

And the fire H784 upon H5921 the altar H4196 shall be burning H3344 in it ; it shall not H3808 be put out H3518 : and the priest H3548 shall burn H1197 wood H6086 on H5921 it every morning H1242 H1242 , and lay H6186 the burnt offering H5930 in order upon H5921 it ; and he shall burn H6999 thereon H5921 the fat H2459 of the peace offerings H8002 .

13. And the fire shall always burn on the altar; it shall not be extinguished.

13. The fire H784 shall ever H8548 be burning H3344 upon H5921 the altar H4196 ; it shall never H3808 go out H3518 .
|
14. This is the law of the sacrifice, which the sons of Aaron shall bring near before the Lord, before the altar.
|
14. And this H2063 is the law H8451 of the meat offering H4503 : the sons H1121 of Aaron H175 shall offer H7126 it before H6440 the LORD H3068 , before H413 H6440 the altar H4196 .
|
15. And he shall take from it a handful of the fine flour of the sacrifice with its oil, and with all its frankincense, which are upon the sacrifice; and he shall offer up on the altar a burnt-offering as a sweet-smelling savour, a memorial of it to the Lord.

And he shall take H7311 of H4480 it his handful H7062 , of the flour H4480 H5560 of the meat offering H4503 , and of the oil H4480 H8081 thereof , and all H3605 the frankincense H3828 which H834 is upon H5921 the meat offering H4503 , and shall burn H6999 it upon the altar H4196 for a sweet H5207 savor H7381 , even the memorial H234 of it , unto the LORD H3068 .

16. And Aaron and his sons shall eat that which is left of it: it shall be eaten without leaven in a holy place, they shall eat it in the court of the tabernacle of witness.

16. And the remainder H3498 thereof H4480 shall Aaron H175 and his sons H1121 eat H398 : with unleavened bread H4682 shall it be eaten H398 in the holy H6918 place H4725 ; in the court H2691 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 they shall eat H398 it.

17. It shall not be baked with leaven. I have given it as a portion to them of the burnt-offerings of the Lord: it is most holy, as the offering for sin, and as the offering for trespass.

17. It shall not H3808 be baked H644 with leaven H2557 . I have given H5414 it unto them for their portion H2506 of my offerings made by fire H4480 H801 ; it H1931 is most holy H6944 H6944 , as is the sin offering H2403 , and as the trespass offering H817 .

18. Every male of the priests shall eat it: it is a perpetual ordinance throughout your generations of the burnt-offerings of the Lord; whosoever shall touch them shall be hallowed.

18. All H3605 the males H2145 among the children H1121 of Aaron H175 shall eat H398 of it. It shall be a statute H2706 forever H5769 in your generations H1755 concerning the offerings of the LORD made by fire H4480 H801 H3068 : every one H3605 that H834 toucheth H5060 them shall be holy H6942 .

19. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

|
20. This is the gift of Aaron and of his sons, which they shall offer to the Lord in the day in which thou shalt anoint him; the tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a sacrifice continually, the half of it in the morning, and the half of it in the evening.

This H2088 is the offering H7133 of Aaron H175 and of his sons H1121 , which H834 they shall offer H7126 unto the LORD H3068 in the day H3117 when he is anointed H4886 ; the tenth part H6224 of an ephah H374 of fine flour H5560 for a meat offering H4503 perpetual H8548 , half H4276 of it in the morning H1242 , and half H4276 thereof at night H6153 .

21. It shall be made with oil Gr. rolled; pl. in a frying-pan; he shall offer it kneaded and in rolls, an offering of fragments, an offering of a sweet savour unto the Lord.

21. In H5921 a pan H4227 it shall be made H6213 with oil H8081 ; and when it is baked H7246 , thou shalt bring it in H935 : and the baked H8601 pieces H6595 of the meat offering H4503 shalt thou offer H7126 for a sweet H5207 savor H7381 unto the LORD H3068 .

22. The anointed priest who is in his place, one of his sons, shall offer it: it is a perpetual statute, it shall all be consumed.

22. And the priest H3548 of his sons H4480 H1121 that is anointed H4899 in his stead H8478 shall offer H6213 it: it is a statute H2706 forever H5769 unto the LORD H3068 ; it shall be wholly H3632 burnt H6999 .

23. And every sacrifice of a priest shall be thoroughly burnt, and shall not be eaten.
|
23. For every H3605 meat offering H4503 for the priest H3548 shall be H1961 wholly H3632 burnt : it shall not H3808 be eaten H398 .

24. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

25. Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin-offering; —in the place where they slay the whole-burnt-offering, they shall slay the sin-offerings before the Lord: they are most holy.

Speak H1696 unto H413 Aaron H175 and to H413 his sons H1121 , saying H559 , This H2063 is the law H8451 of the sin offering H2403 : In the place H4725 where H834 the burnt offering H5930 is killed H7819 shall the sin offering H2403 be killed H7819 before H6440 the LORD H3068 : it H1931 is most holy H6944 H6944 .

26. The priest that offers it shall eat it: in a holy place it shall be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of witness.

26. The priest H3548 that offereth it for sin H2398 H853 shall eat H398 it : in the holy H6918 place H4725 shall it be eaten H398 , in the court H2691 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 .

27. Every one that touches the flesh of it shall be holy, and on whosesoever garment any of its blood shall have been sprinkled, whosoever Gr. shall have been sprinkled upon it shall have it sprinkled, shall be washed in the holy place.
|
27. Whatsoever H3605 H834 shall touch H5060 the flesh H1320 thereof shall be holy H6942 : and when H834 there is sprinkled H5137 of the blood H4480 H1818 thereof upon H5921 any garment H899 , thou shalt wash H3526 that whereon H834 H5921 it was sprinkled H5137 in the holy H6918 place H4725 .

28. And the earthen vessel, in whichsoever it shall have been sodden, shall be broken; and if it shall have been sodden in a brazen vessel, he shall scour it and wash it with water.

28. But the earthen H2789 vessel H3627 wherein H834 it is sodden H1310 shall be broken H7665 : and if H518 it be sodden H1310 in a brazen H5178 pot H3627 , it shall be both scoured H4838 , and rinsed H7857 in water H4325 .

29. Every male among the priests shall eat it: it is most holy to the Lord.

|
30. And no offerings for sin, of whose blood there shall be brought any into the tabernacle of witness to make atonement in the holy place, shall be eaten: they shall be burned with fire.
|
30. And no H3808 H3605 sin offering H2403 , whereof H834 any of the blood H4480 H1818 is brought H935 into H413 the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 to reconcile H3722 withal in the holy H6944 place , shall be eaten H398 : it shall be burnt H8313 in the fire H784 .

31. And this is the law of the ram for the trespass-offering; it is most holy.
|

32. In the place where they slay the whole-burnt-offering, they shall slay the ram of the trespass-offering before the Lord, and he shall pour out the blood at the bottom of the altar round about.
|
32.
|
33. And he shall offer all the fat from it; and the Or, hind-quarters loins, and all the fat that covers the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,
|
33.
|
34. and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, that which is upon the thighs, and the caul upon the liver with the kidney, he shall take them away.
|
34.
|
35. And the priest shall offer them on the altar a burnt-offering to the Lord; it is for trespass.
|
35.
|
36. Every male of the priest shall eat them, in the holy place they shall eat them: they are most holy.
|
36.
|
37. As the sin-offering, so also is the trespass-offering. There is one law of them; the priest who shall make atonement with it, his it shall be.
|
37.
|
38. And as for the priest who offers a man’s whole-burnt-offering, the skin of the whole-burnt-offering which he offers, shall be his.
|
38.
|
39. And every sacrifice which shall be Gr. made prepared in the oven, and every one which shall be prepared on the hearth, or on a frying-pan, it is the property of the priest that offers it; it shall be his.
|
39.
|
40. And every sacrifice made up with oil, or not made up with oil, shall belong to the sons of Aaron, an equal portion to each.
