Now
Korah,
the
son
of
Izhar,
the
son
of
Kohath,
the
son
of
Levi,
and
Dathan
and
Abiram,
the
sons
of
Eliab,
and
On,
the
son
of
Peleth,
sons
of
Reuben,
took
men:
2
And
they
rose
up
before
Moses,
with
certain
of
the
children
of
Israel,
two
hundred
and
fifty
princes
of
the
assembly,
famous
in
the
congregation,
men
of
renown:
3
And
they
gathered
themselves
together
against
Moses
and
against
Aaron,
and
said
unto
them,
Ye
take
too
much
upon
you,
seeing
all
the
congregation
are
holy,
every
one
of
them,
and
the
LORD
is
among
them:
wherefore
then
lift
ye
up
yourselves
above
the
congregation
of
the
LORD?
4
And
when
Moses
heard
it,
he
fell
upon
his
face:
5
And
he
spake
unto
Korah
and
unto
all
his
company,
saying,
Even
to
morrow
the
LORD
will
shew
who
are
his,
and
who
is
holy;
and
will
cause
him
to
come
near
unto
him:
even
him
whom
he
hath
chosen
will
he
cause
to
come
near
unto
him.
6
This
do;
Take
you
censers,
Korah,
and
all
his
company;
7
And
put
fire
therein,
and
put
incense
in
them
before
the
LORD
to
morrow:
and
it
shall
be
that
the
man
whom
the
LORD
doth
choose,
he
shall
be
holy:
ye
take
too
much
upon
you,
ye
sons
of
Levi.
8
And
Moses
said
unto
Korah,
Hear,
I
pray
you,
ye
sons
of
Levi:
9
Seemeth
it
but
a
small
thing
unto
you,
that
the
God
of
Israel
hath
separated
you
from
the
congregation
of
Israel,
to
bring
you
near
to
himself
to
do
the
service
of
the
tabernacle
of
the
LORD,
and
to
stand
before
the
congregation
to
minister
unto
them?
10
And
he
hath
brought
thee
near
to
him,
and
all
thy
brethren
the
sons
of
Levi
with
thee:
and
seek
ye
the
priesthood
also?
11
For
which
cause
both
thou
and
all
thy
company
are
gathered
together
against
the
LORD:
and
what
is
Aaron,
that
ye
murmur
against
him?
12
And
Moses
sent
to
call
Dathan
and
Abiram,
the
sons
of
Eliab:
which
said,
We
will
not
come
up:
13
Is
it
a
small
thing
that
thou
hast
brought
us
up
out
of
a
land
that
floweth
with
milk
and
honey,
to
kill
us
in
the
wilderness,
except
thou
make
thyself
altogether
a
prince
over
us?
14
Moreover
thou
hast
not
brought
us
into
a
land
that
floweth
with
milk
and
honey,
or
given
us
inheritance
of
fields
and
vineyards:
wilt
thou
put
out
the
eyes
of
these
men?
we
will
not
come
up.
15
And
Moses
was
very
wroth,
and
said
unto
the
LORD,
Respect
not
thou
their
offering:
I
have
not
taken
one
ass
from
them,
neither
have
I
hurt
one
of
them.
16
And
Moses
said
unto
Korah,
Be
thou
and
all
thy
company
before
the
LORD,
thou,
and
they,
and
Aaron,
to
morrow:
17
And
take
every
man
his
censer,
and
put
incense
in
them,
and
bring
ye
before
the
LORD
every
man
his
censer,
two
hundred
and
fifty
censers;
thou
also,
and
Aaron,
each
of
you
his
censer.
18
And
they
took
every
man
his
censer,
and
put
fire
in
them,
and
laid
incense
thereon,
and
stood
in
the
door
of
the
tabernacle
of
the
congregation
with
Moses
and
Aaron.
19
And
Korah
gathered
all
the
congregation
against
them
unto
the
door
of
the
tabernacle
of
the
congregation:
and
the
glory
of
the
LORD
appeared
unto
all
the
congregation.
20
And
the
LORD
spake
unto
Moses
and
unto
Aaron,
saying,
21
Separate
yourselves
from
among
this
congregation,
that
I
may
consume
them
in
a
moment.
22
And
they
fell
upon
their
faces,
and
said,
O
God,
the
God
of
the
spirits
of
all
flesh,
shall
one
man
sin,
and
wilt
thou
be
wroth
with
all
the
congregation?
23
And
the
LORD
spake
unto
Moses,
saying,
24
Speak
unto
the
congregation,
saying,
Get
you
up
from
about
the
tabernacle
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram.
25
And
Moses
rose
up
and
went
unto
Dathan
and
Abiram;
and
the
elders
of
Israel
followed
him.
26
And
he
spake
unto
the
congregation,
saying,
Depart,
I
pray
you,
from
the
tents
of
these
wicked
men,
and
touch
nothing
of
theirs,
lest
ye
be
consumed
in
all
their
sins.
27
So
they
gat
up
from
the
tabernacle
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram,
on
every
side:
and
Dathan
and
Abiram
came
out,
and
stood
in
the
door
of
their
tents,
and
their
wives,
and
their
sons,
and
their
little
children.
28
And
Moses
said,
Hereby
ye
shall
know
that
the
LORD
hath
sent
me
to
do
all
these
works;
for
I
have
not
done
them
of
mine
own
mind.
29
If
these
men
die
the
common
death
of
all
men,
or
if
they
be
visited
after
the
visitation
of
all
men;
then
the
LORD
hath
not
sent
me.
30
But
if
the
LORD
make
a
new
thing,
and
the
earth
open
her
mouth,
and
swallow
them
up,
with
all
that
appertain
unto
them,
and
they
go
down
quick
into
the
pit;
then
ye
shall
understand
that
these
men
have
provoked
the
LORD.
31
And
it
came
to
pass,
as
he
had
made
an
end
of
speaking
all
these
words,
that
the
ground
clave
asunder
that
was
under
them:
32
And
the
earth
opened
her
mouth,
and
swallowed
them
up,
and
their
houses,
and
all
the
men
that
appertained
unto
Korah,
and
all
their
goods.
33
They,
and
all
that
appertained
to
them,
went
down
alive
into
the
pit,
and
the
earth
closed
upon
them:
and
they
perished
from
among
the
congregation.
34
And
all
Israel
that
were
round
about
them
fled
at
the
cry
of
them:
for
they
said,
Lest
the
earth
swallow
us
up
also.
35
And
there
came
out
a
fire
from
the
LORD,
and
consumed
the
two
hundred
and
fifty
men
that
offered
incense.
36
And
the
LORD
spake
unto
Moses,
saying,
37
Speak
unto
Eleazar
the
son
of
Aaron
the
priest,
that
he
take
up
the
censers
out
of
the
burning,
and
scatter
thou
the
fire
yonder;
for
they
are
hallowed.
38
The
censers
of
these
sinners
against
their
own
souls,
let
them
make
them
broad
plates
for
a
covering
of
the
altar:
for
they
offered
them
before
the
LORD,
therefore
they
are
hallowed:
and
they
shall
be
a
sign
unto
the
children
of
Israel.
39
And
Eleazar
the
priest
took
the
brasen
censers,
wherewith
they
that
were
burnt
had
offered;
and
they
were
made
broad
plates
for
a
covering
of
the
altar:
40
To
be
a
memorial
unto
the
children
of
Israel,
that
no
stranger,
which
is
not
of
the
seed
of
Aaron,
come
near
to
offer
incense
before
the
LORD;
that
he
be
not
as
Korah,
and
as
his
company:
as
the
LORD
said
to
him
by
the
hand
of
Moses.
41
But
on
the
morrow
all
the
congregation
of
the
children
of
Israel
murmured
against
Moses
and
against
Aaron,
saying,
Ye
have
killed
the
people
of
the
LORD.
42
And
it
came
to
pass,
when
the
congregation
was
gathered
against
Moses
and
against
Aaron,
that
they
looked
toward
the
tabernacle
of
the
congregation:
and,
behold,
the
cloud
covered
it,
and
the
glory
of
the
LORD
appeared.
43
And
Moses
and
Aaron
came
before
the
tabernacle
of
the
congregation.
44
And
the
LORD
spake
unto
Moses,
saying,
45
Get
you
up
from
among
this
congregation,
that
I
may
consume
them
as
in
a
moment.
And
they
fell
upon
their
faces.
46
And
Moses
said
unto
Aaron,
Take
a
censer,
and
put
fire
therein
from
off
the
altar,
and
put
on
incense,
and
go
quickly
unto
the
congregation,
and
make
an
atonement
for
them:
for
there
is
wrath
gone
out
from
the
LORD;
the
plague
is
begun.
47
And
Aaron
took
as
Moses
commanded,
and
ran
into
the
midst
of
the
congregation;
and,
behold,
the
plague
was
begun
among
the
people:
and
he
put
on
incense,
and
made
an
atonement
for
the
people.
48
And
he
stood
between
the
dead
and
the
living;
and
the
plague
was
stayed.
49
Now
they
that
died
in
the
plague
were
fourteen
thousand
and
seven
hundred,
beside
them
that
died
about
the
matter
of
Korah.
50
And
Aaron
returned
unto
Moses
unto
the
door
of
the
tabernacle
of
the
congregation:
and
the
plague
was
stayed.

12
And
Moses
H4872
sent
H7971
W-VQY3MS

H7121
Dathan
H1885

Abiram
H48

the

which

H559
W-VQY3MP

We

14
Moreover

we

15
And
Moses
H4872

H2734
W-VQY3MS

said
H559
W-VQY3MS
unto

16
And
Moses
H4872
said

Be

18
And
they

19
And
Korah

the

20
And
the

H3068
EDS

H1696
W-VPY3MS
unto

PREP
Moses
H4872

unto

Aaron

Separate

22
And
they
fell
H5307
W-VQY3MP
upon
H5921
PREP
their

H6440
CMP-3MP

said
H559
W-VQY3MP
,
O

23
And
the
LORD
H3068
EDS
spoke
H1696
W-VPY3MS
unto
H413
PREP
Moses
H4872
,
saying
H559

24
Speak
H1696
VPFC
unto
H413
PREP
the

M-ADV
the

25
And
Moses
H4872
rose

H6965
W-VQY3MS

went
H1980
W-VQY3MS
unto

PREP
Dathan

the

H3478

H1980
W-VQY3MP
him

26
And
he
spoke
H1696
W-VPY3MS
unto
H413
PREP
the

H5712
,
saying
H559
L-VQFC
,
Depart
H5493

I
pray
you
H4994
IJEC

from
M-PREP
the

27
So
they

the

Dathan
H1885

H5439
M-ADV

Dathan

H2945

28
And
Moses
H4872
said
H559
W-VQY3MS

Hereby

30
But

and
they
go
down
H3381

H2416

H7585

then
ye

H3045
that
H3588
CONJ
these
H428
D-DPRO-3MP
men
H376
D-NMP
have
provoked
H5006
the

H3068

31
And
it

H1961
W-VQY3MS

H1234
that

H8478
them
:
32
And
the
earth
H776
D-GFS
opened
H6605
her

H6310
CMS-3FS

H1004
CMP-3MP

all
H3605
NMS
the

H120
D-NMS
that

their

33
They
H1992
PPRO-3MP

H3605
W-CMS

H2416
NMP

H7585

the

H776
D-GFS
closed
H3680

H5921
PREP-3MP
them
:
and
they
perished
H6

H8432
the

H6951

34
And
all
H3605
W-CMS
Israel
H3478
that
H834
RPRO

H5439
them
fled
H5127
at

H6963

for
H3588
CONJ
they
said
H559
,
Lest
H6435

the

H776
D-GFS
swallow

35
And
there
came
out
H3318
VQQ3FS
a

H784
W-NMS
from
the
LORD
H3068
EDS

H376

H7004

36
And
the

H3068
EDS
spoke
H1696
W-VPY3MS
unto
H413
PREP
Moses
H4872
,
saying
H559

37
Speak

Eleazar
H499
the

H175
the

H6942

38
The

H4289

H428
D-DPRO-3MP

H5315

H4196
:
for
H3588
CONJ
they
offered
H7126
them

H6440
the

H3068
EDS
,
therefore
they

H6942
:
and
they

a

H226
L-CMS
unto

H1121
L-CMP

H3478
LMS
.
39
And
Eleazar
H499
the

H3548
took
H3947
W-VQY3MS
the

H4289

41
But

H4283
all
H3605
the

42
And
it

H1961
W-VQY3MS

when
the

gathered
H6950
against

behold
H2009
IJEC

H6051
covered
H3680
it
,
and
the

H3519

H3068
NAME-4MS
appeared
H7200
W-VNY3MS

43
And
Moses

W-VQY3MS

the

44
And
the

W-VPY3MS

Moses
H4872

saying

Get

W-VQY3MP

H6440
L-CMP

46
And
Moses
H4872
said
H559
unto

Aaron
H175

Take

H5921
PREP-3FS

H4196

H3722

H5921
PREP-3MP
them

H3588
there

H3318
VQQ3MS

the

H3068
EDS

the

H2490
VHQ3MS

47
And
Aaron
H175
took

W-VQY3MS

Moses
H4872
commanded

PREP
the

48
And

and
wherefore
do

the

4
And
Moses
heareth,
and
falleth
on
his
face,
5
and
he
speaketh
unto
Korah,
and
unto
all
his

saying,
`Morning!

and
Jehovah

knowing
those

7

8
And
Moses
saith
unto
Korah,
`Hear
ye,
I
pray
you,
sons
of
Levi;
9
is
it
little
to
you
that
the
God
of
Israel
hath
separated
you
from
the
company
of
Israel
to
bring
you
near
unto
Himself,
to
do
the
service
of
the

of
Jehovah,
and
to
stand
before
the

to

them?
--
10
yea,
He
doth
bring
thee
near,
and
all
thy
brethren
the
sons
of
Levi
with
thee
--
and
ye
have
sought
also
the
priesthood!
11
Therefore,
thou
and
all
thy
company
who
are
met
are
against
Jehovah;
and
Aaron,
what
is
he,
that
ye
murmur
against
him?`
12
And
Moses
sendeth
to
call
for
Dathan
and
for
Abiram
sons
of
Eliab,
and
they
say,
`We
do
not
come
up;
13
is
it
little
that
thou
hast
brought
us
up
out
of
a
land
flowing
with
milk
and
honey
to
put
us
to
death
in
a
wilderness
that
thou
also
certainly
makest
thyself
prince
over
us?
14
Yea,
unto
a
land
flowing
with
milk
and
honey
thou
hast
not
brought
us
in,
nor
dost
thou
give
to
us
an
inheritance
of
field
and
vineyard;
the
eyes
of
these
men
dost
thou
pick
out?
we
do
not
come
up.`
15
And
it
is
very
displeasing
to
Moses,
and
he
saith
unto
Jehovah,
`Turn
not
Thou
unto
their
present;
not
one
ass
from
them
have
I
taken,
nor
have
I
afflicted
one
of
them.`
16
And
Moses
saith
unto
Korah,
`Thou
and
all
thy
company,
be
ye
before
Jehovah,
thou,
and
they,
and
Aaron,
to-morrow;
17
and
take
ye
each
his
censer,
and
ye
have
put
on
them
perfume,
and
brought
near
before
Jehovah,
each
his
censer,
two
hundred
and
fifty
censers;
and
thou
and
Aaron,
each
his
censer.`
18
And
they
take
each
his
censer,
and
put
on
them
fire,
and
lay
on
them
perfume,
and
they
stand
at
the
opening
of
the
tent
of
meeting,
with
Moses
and
Aaron.
19
And
Korah
assembleth
against
them
all
the
company
unto
the
opening
of
the
tent
of
meeting,
and
the
honour
of
Jehovah
is
seen
by
all
the
company.
20
And
Jehovah
speaketh
unto
Moses
and
unto
Aaron,
saying,
21
`Be
ye
separated
from
the
midst
of
this
company,
and
I
consume
them
in
a
moment;`
22
and
they
fall
on
their
faces,
and
say,
`God,
God
of
the
spirits
of
all
flesh
--
the
one
man
sinneth,
and
against
all
the
company
Thou
art
wroth!`
23
And
Jehovah
speaketh
unto
Moses,
saying,
24
`Speak
unto
the
company,
saying,
Go
ye
up
from
round
about
the
tabernacle
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram.`
25
And
Moses
riseth,
and
goeth
unto
Dathan
and
Abiram,
and
the
elders
of
Israel
go
after
him,
26
and
he
speaketh
unto
the
company,
saying,
`Turn
aside,
I
pray
you,
from
the
tents
of
these
wicked
men,
and
come
not
against
anything
that
they
have,
lest
ye
be
consumed
in
all
their
sins.`
27
And
they
go
up
from
the
tabernacle
of
Korah,
Dathan
and
Abiram,
from
round
about,
and
Dathan,
and
Abiram
have
come
out,
standing
at
the
opening
of
their
tents,
and
their
wives,
and
their
sons,
and
their
infants.
28
And
Moses
saith,
`By
this
ye
do
know
that
Jehovah
hath
sent
me
to
do
all
these
works,
that
they
are
not
from
my
own
heart;
29
if
according
to
the
death
of
all
men
these
die
--
or
the
charge
of
all
men
is
charged
upon
them
--
Jehovah
hath
not
sent
me;
30
and
if
a
strange
thing
Jehovah
do,
and
the
ground
hath
opened
her
mouth
and
swallowed
them,
and
all
that
they
have,
and
they
have
gone
down
alive
to
Sheol
--
then
ye
have
known
that
these
men
have
despised
Jehovah.`
31
And
it
cometh
to
pass
at
his
finishing
speaking
all
these
words,
that
the
ground
which
is
under
them
cleaveth,
32
and
the
earth
openeth
her
mouth,
and
swalloweth
them,
and
their
houses,
and
all
the
men
who
are
for
Korah,
and
all
the
goods,
33
and
they
go
down,
they,
and
all
that
they
have,
alive
to
Sheol,
and
the
earth
closeth
over
them,
and
they
perish
from
the
midst
of
the
assembly;
34
and
all
Israel
who
are
round
about
them
have
fled
at
their
voice,
for
they
said,
`Lest
the
earth
swallow
us;`
35
and
fire
hath
come
out
from
Jehovah,
and
consumeth
the
two
hundred
and
fifty
men
bringing
near
the
perfume.
36
And
Jehovah
speaketh
unto
Moses,
saying,
37
`Say
unto
Eleazar
son
of
Aaron
the
priest,
and
he
lifteth
up
the
censers
from
the
midst
of
the
burning,
and
the
fire
scatter
thou
yonder,
for
they
have
been
hallowed,
38
even
the
censers
of
these
sinners
against
their
own
souls;
and
they
have
made
them
spread-out
plates,
a
covering
for
the
altar,
for
they
have
brought
them
near
before
Jehovah,
and
they
are
hallowed;
and
they
are
become
a
sign
to
the
sons
of
Israel.`
39
And
Eleazar
the
priest
taketh
the
brazen
censers
which
they
who
are
burnt
had
brought
near,
and
they
spread
them
out,
a
covering
for
the
altar
--
40
a
memorial
to
the
sons
of
Israel,
so
that
a
stranger
who
is
not
of
the
seed
of
Aaron
doth
not
draw
near
to
make
a
perfume
before
Jehovah,
and
is
not
as
Korah,
and
as
his
company,
--
as
Jehovah
hath
spoken
by
the
hand
of
Moses
to
him.
41
And
all
the
company
of
the
sons
of
Israel
murmur,
on
the
morrow,
against
Moses
and
against
Aaron,
saying,
`Ye
--
ye
have
put
to
death
the
people
of
Jehovah.`
42
And
it
cometh
to
pass,
in
the
company
being
assembled
against
Moses
and
against
Aaron,
that
they
turn
towards
the
tent
of
meeting,
and
lo,
the
cloud
hath
covered
it,
and
the
honour
of
Jehovah
is
seen;
43
and
Moses
cometh
--
Aaron
also
--
unto
the
front
of
the
tent
of
meeting.
44
And
Jehovah
speaketh
unto
Moses,
saying,
45
`Get
you
up
from
the
midst
of
this
company,
and
I
consume
them
in
a
moment;`
and
they
fall
on
their
faces,
46
and
Moses
saith
unto
Aaron,
`Take
the
censer,
and
put

it

and
place
perfume,
and
go,

and
make
atonement
for
them,
for
the
wrath
hath
gone
out
from
the
presence
of
Jehovah
--
the

begun.`
47
And
Aaron
taketh
as
Moses
hath
spoken,
and
runneth
unto

midst
of
the
assembly,
and
lo,
the
plague
hath
begun

he
giveth

maketh

of
meeting:
and
the
glory
of
Jehovah
appeared
unto
all
the
congregation.
20
And
Jehovah
spake
unto
Moses
and
unto
Aaron,
saying,
21
Separate
yourselves
from
among
this
congregation,
that
I
may
consume
them
in
a
moment.
22
And
they
fell
upon
their
faces,
and
said,
O
God,
the
God
of
the
spirits
of
all
flesh,
shall
one
man
sin,
and
wilt
thou
be
wroth
with
all
the
congregation?
23
And
Jehovah
spake
unto
Moses,
saying,
24
Speak
unto
the
congregation,
saying,
Get
you
up
from
about
the
tabernacle
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram.
25
And
Moses
rose
up
and
went
unto
Dathan
and
Abiram;
and
the
elders
of
Israel
followed
him.
26
And
he
spake
unto
the
congregation,
saying,
Depart,
I
pray
you,
from
the
tents
of
these
wicked
men,
and
touch
nothing
of
theirs,
lest
ye
be
consumed
in
all
their
sins.
27
So
they
gat
them
up
from
the
tabernacle
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram,
on
every
side:
and
Dathan
and
Abiram
came
out,
and
stood
at
the
door
of
their
tents,
and
their
wives,
and
their
sons,
and
their
little
ones.
28
And
Moses
said,
Hereby
ye
shall
know
that
Jehovah
hath
sent
me
to
do
all
these
works;
for
I
have
not
done
them
of
mine
own
mind.
29
If
these
men
die
the
common
death
of
all
men,
or
if
they
be
visited
after
the
visitation
of
all
men;
then
Jehovah
hath
not
sent
me.
30
But
if
Jehovah
make
a
new
thing,
and
the
ground
open
its
mouth,
and
swallow
them
up,
with
all
that
appertain
unto
them,
and
they
go
down
alive
into
Sheol;
then
ye
shall
understand
that
these
men
have
despised
Jehovah.
31
And
it
came
to
pass,
as
he
made
an
end
of
speaking
all
these
words,
that
the
ground
clave
asunder
that
was
under
them;
32
and
the
earth
opened
its
mouth,
and
swallowed
them
up,
and
their
households,
and
all
the
men
that
appertained
unto
Korah,
and
all
their
goods.
33
So
they,
and
all
that
appertained
to
them,
went
down
alive
into
Sheol:
and
the
earth
closed
upon
them,
and
they
perished
from
among
the
assembly.
34
And
all
Israel
that
were
round
about
them
fled
at
the
cry
of
them;
for
they
said,
Lest
the
earth
swallow
us
up.
35
And
fire
came
forth
from
Jehovah,
and
devoured
the
two
hundred
and
fifty
men
that
offered
the
incense.
36
And
Jehovah
spake
unto
Moses,
saying,
37
Speak
unto
Eleazar
the
son
of
Aaron
the
priest,
that
he
take
up
the
censers
out
of
the
burning,
and
scatter
thou
the
fire
yonder;
for
they
are
holy,
38
even
the
censers
of
these
sinners
against
their
own
lives;
and
let
them
be
made
beaten
plates
for
a
covering
of
the
altar:
for
they
offered
them
before
Jehovah;
therefore
they
are
holy;
and
they
shall
be
a
sign
unto
the
children
of
Israel.
39
And
Eleazar
the
priest
took
the
brazen
censers,
which
they
that
were
burnt
had
offered;
and
they
beat
them
out
for
a
covering
of
the
altar,
40
to
be
a
memorial
unto
the
children
of
Israel,
to
the
end
that
no
stranger,
that
is
not
of
the
seed
of
Aaron,
come
near
to
burn
incense
before
Jehovah;
that
he
be
not
as
Korah,
and
as
his
company:
as
Jehovah
spake
unto
him
by
Moses.
41
But
on
the
morrow
all
the
congregation
of
the
children
of
Israel
murmured
against
Moses
and
against
Aaron,
saying,
Ye
have
killed
the
people
of
Jehovah.
42
And
it
came
to
pass,
when
the
congregation
was
assembled
against
Moses
and
against
Aaron,
that
they
looked
toward
the
tent
of
meeting:
and,
behold,
the
cloud
covered
it,
and
the
glory
of
Jehovah
appeared.
43
And
Moses
and
Aaron
came
to
the
front
of
the
tent
of
meeting.
44
And
Jehovah
spake
unto
Moses,
saying,
45
Get
you
up
from
among
this
congregation,
that
I
may
consume
them
in
a
moment.
And
they
fell
upon
their
faces.
46
And
Moses
said
unto
Aaron,
Take
they
censer,
and
put
fire
therein
from
off
the
altar,
and
lay
incense
thereon,
and
carry
it
quickly
unto
the
congregation,
and
make
atonement
for
them:
for
there
is
wrath
gone
out
from
Jehovah;
the
plague
is
begun.
47
And
Aaron
took
as
Moses
spake,
and
ran
into
the
midst
of
the
assembly;
and,
behold,
the
plague
was
begun
among
the
people:
and
he
put
on
the
incense,
and
made
atonement
for
the
people.
48
And
he
stood
between
the
dead
and
the
living;
and
the
plague
was
stayed.
49
Now
they
that
died
by
the
plague
were
fourteen
thousand
and
seven
hundred,
besides
them
that

And
Aaron
returned
unto
Moses
unto
the

of

and
the

Moses
said
to
Korah,
Hear
now,
you
sons
of
Levi:
9
seems
it
but
a
small
thing
to
you,
that
the
God
of
Israel
has
separated
you
from
the

Israel,
to
bring
you
near
to
himself,
to

you
near,
and
all
your

Aaron,
what

who
you

to

but
you
must
needs
make
yourself
also
a
prince
over
us?
14
Moreover
you
haven't
brought
us
into
a
land
flowing
with
milk
and
honey,
nor
given
us
inheritance
of
fields
and
vineyards:
will
you
put
out
the
eyes
of
these
men?
we
won't
come

15
Moses
was
very
angry,
and
said
to
Yahweh,
"Don't

neither
have
I

23
Yahweh
spoke
to
Moses,
saying,
24
Speak
to
the
congregation,
saying,
Get
away
from
around
the
tent
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram.
25
Moses
rose
up
and
went
to
Dathan
and
Abiram;
and
the
elders
of
Israel
followed
him.
26
He
spoke
to
the
congregation,
saying,
Depart,

of
these
wicked
men,
and

27
So
they
got
them
up
from
the
tent
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram,
on
every
side:
and
Dathan
and
Abiram
came
out,
and
stood
at
the

of
their
tents,
and
their
wives,
and
their
sons,

But
if
Yahweh

and

and

with

and
they

then
you
shall
understand
that
these

31
It
happened,
as
he
made
an
end
of
speaking
all
these
words,
that
the
ground
split
apart
that
was
under
them;
32
and
the
earth
opened
its

and
swallowed
them
up,
and
their

and
all
the
men
who
appertained
to
Korah,
and
all
their

33
So
they,
and
all
that
appertained
to
them,
went
down
alive
into
Sheol:
and
the
earth
closed
on
them,
and
they

34
All

is
among
them:
wherefore
then
lift
ye
up
yourselves
above
the
assembly
of
the
LORD?
4
And
when
Moses
heard
it,
he
fell
upon
his
face:
5
and
he
spake
unto
Korah
and
unto
all
his
company,
saying,
In
the
morning
the
LORD
will
shew
who
are
his,
and
who
is
holy,
and
will
cause
him
to
come
near
unto
him:
even
him
whom
he
shall
choose
will
he
cause
to
come
near
unto
him.
6
This
do;
take
you
censers,
Korah,
and
all
his
company;
7
and
put
fire
therein,
and
put
incense
upon
them
before
the
LORD
tomorrow:
and
it
shall
be
that
the
man
whom
the
LORD
doth
choose,
he
{cf15i
shall
be}
holy:
ye
take
too
much
upon
you,
ye
sons
of
Levi.
8
And
Moses
said
unto
Korah,
Hear
now,
ye
sons
of
Levi:
9
{cf15i
seemeth
it
but}
a
small
thing
unto
you,
that
the
God
of
Israel
hath
separated
you
from
the
congregation
of
Israel,
to
bring
you
near
to
himself;
to
do
the
service
of
the
tabernacle
of
the
LORD,
and
to
stand
before
the
congregation
to
minister
unto
them;
10
and
that
he
hath
brought
thee
near,
and
all
thy
brethren
the
sons
of
Levi
with
thee?
and
seek
ye
the
priesthood
also?
11
Therefore
thou
and
all
thy
company
are
gathered
together
against
the
LORD:
and
Aaron,
what
is
he
that
ye
murmur
against
him?
12
And
Moses
sent
to
call
Dathan
and
Abiram,
the
sons
of
Eliab:
and
they
said,
We
will
not
come
up:
13
is
it
a
small
thing
that
thou
hast
brought
us
up
out
of
a
land
flowing
with
milk
and
honey,
to
kill
us
in
the
wilderness,
but
thou
must
needs
make
thyself
also
a
prince
over
us?
14
Moreover
thou
hast
not
brought
us
into
a
land
flowing
with
milk
and
honey,
nor
given
us
inheritance
of
fields
and
vineyards:
wilt
thou
put
out
the
eyes
of
these
men?
we
will
not
come
up.
15
And
Moses
was
very
wroth,
and
said
unto
the
LORD,
Respect
not
thou
their
offering:
I
have
not
taken
one
ass
from
them,
neither
have
I
hurt
one
of
them.
16
And
Moses
said
unto
Korah,
Be
thou
and
all
thy
congregation
before
the
LORD,
thou,
and
they,
and
Aaron,
tomorrow:
17
and
take
ye
every
man
his
censer,
and
put
incense
upon
them,
and
bring
ye
before
the
LORD
every
man
his
censer,
two
hundred
and
fifty
censers;
thou
also,
and
Aaron,
each
his
censer.
18
And
they
took
every
man
his
censer,
and
put
fire
in
them,
and
laid
incense
thereon,
and
stood
at
the
door
of
the
tent
of
meeting
with
Moses
and
Aaron.
19
And
Korah
assembled
all
the
congregation
against
them
unto
the
door
of
the
tent
of
meeting:
and
the
glory
of
the
LORD
appeared
unto
all
the
congregation.
20
And
the
LORD
spake
unto
Moses
and
unto
Aaron,
saying,
21
Separate
yourselves
from
among
this
congregation,
that
I
may
consume
them
in
a
moment.
22
And
they
fell
upon
their
faces,
and
said,
O
God,
the
God
of
the
spirits
of
all
flesh,
shall
one
man
sin,
and
wilt
thou
be
wroth
with
all
the
congregation?
23
And
the
LORD
spake
unto
Moses,
saying,
24
Speak
unto
the
congregation,
saying,
Get
you
up
from
about
the
tabernacle
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram.
25
And
Moses
rose
up
and
went
unto
Dathan
and
Abiram;
and
the
elders
of
Israel
followed
him.
26
And
he
spake
unto
the
congregation,
saying,
Depart,
I
pray
you,
from
the
tents
of
these
wicked
men,
and
touch
nothing
of
theirs,
lest
ye
be
consumed
in
all
their
sins.
27
So
they
gat
them
up
from
the
tabernacle
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram,
on
every
side:
and
Dathan
and
Abiram
came
out,
and
stood
at
the
door
of
their
tents,
and
their
wives,
and
their
sons,
and
their
little
ones.
28
And
Moses
said,
Hereby
ye
shall
know
that
the
LORD
hath
sent
me
to
do
all
these
works;
for
{cf15i
I
have}
not
{cf15i
done
them}
of
mine
own
mind.
29
If
these
men
die
the
common
death
of
all
men,
or
if
they
be
visited
after
the
visitation
of
all
men;
then
the
LORD
hath
not
sent
me.
30
But
if
the
LORD
make
a
new
thing,
and
the
ground
open
her
mouth,
and
swallow
them
up,
with
all
that
appertain
unto
them,
and
they
go
down
alive
into
the
pit;
then
ye
shall
understand
that
these
men
have
despised
the
LORD.
31
And
it
came
to
pass,
as
he
made
an
end
of
speaking
all
these
words,
that
the
ground
clave
asunder
that
was
under
them:
32
and
the
earth
opened
her
mouth,
and
swallowed
them
up,
and
their
households,
and
all
the
men
that
appertained
unto
Korah,
and
all
their
goods.
33
So
they,
and
all
that
appertained
to
them,
went
down
alive
into
the
pit:
and
the
earth
closed
upon
them,
and
they
perished
from
among
the
assembly.
34
And
all
Israel
that
were
round
about
them
fled
at
the
cry
of
them:
for
they
said,
Lest
the
earth
swallow
us
up.
35
And
fire
came
forth
from
the
LORD,
and
devoured
the
two
hundred
and
fifty
men
that
offered
the
incense.
36
And
the
LORD
spake
unto
Moses,
saying,
37
Speak
unto
Eleazar
the
son
of
Aaron
the
priest,
that
he
take
up
the
censers
out
of
the
burning,
and
scatter
thou
the
fire
yonder;
for
they
are
holy;
38
even
the
censers
of
these
sinners
against
their
own
lives,
and
let
them
be
made
beaten
plates
for
a
covering
of
the
altar:
for
they
offered
them
before
the
LORD,
therefore
they
are
holy:
and
they
shall
be
a
sign
unto
the
children
of
Israel.
39
And
Eleazar
the
priest
took
the
brasen
censers,
which
they
that
were
burnt
had
offered;
and
they
beat
them
out
for
a
covering
of
the
altar:
40
to
be
a
memorial
unto
the
children
of
Israel,
to
the
end
that
no
stranger,
which
is
not
of
the
seed
of
Aaron,
come
near
to
burn
incense
before
the
LORD;
that
he
be
not
as
Korah,
and
as
his
company:
as
the
LORD
spake
unto
him
by
the
hand
of
Moses.
41
But
on
the
morrow
all
the
congregation
of
the
children
of
Israel
murmured
against
Moses
and
against
Aaron,
saying,
Ye
have
killed
the
people
of
the
LORD.
42
And
it
came
to
pass,
when
the
congregation
was
assembled
against
Moses
and
against
Aaron,
that
they
looked
toward
the
tent
of
meeting:
and,
behold,
the
cloud
covered
it,
and
the
glory
of
the
LORD
appeared.
43
And
Moses
and
Aaron
came
to
the
front
of
the
tent
of
meeting.
44
And
the
LORD
spake
unto
Moses,
saying,
45
Get
you
up
from
among
this
congregation,
that
I
may
consume
them
in
a
moment.
And
they
fell
upon
their
faces.
46
And
Moses
said
unto
Aaron,
Take
thy
censer,
and
put
fire
therein
from
off
the
altar,
and
lay
incense
thereon,
and
carry
it
quickly
unto
the
congregation,
and
make
atonement
for
them:
for
there
is
wrath
gone
out
from
the
LORD;
the
plague
is
begun.
47
And
Aaron
took
as
Moses
spake,
and
ran
into
the
midst
of
the
assembly;
and,
behold,
the
plague
was
begun
among
the
people:
and
he
put
on
the
incense,
and
made
atonement
for
the
people.
48
And
he
stood
between
the
dead
and
the
living;
and
the
plague
was
stayed.
49
Now
they
that
died
by
the
plague
were
fourteen
thousand
and
seven
hundred,
besides
them
that
died
about
the
matter
of
Korah.
50
And
Aaron
returned
unto
Moses
unto
the
door
of
the
tent
of
meeting:
and
the
plague
was
stayed.

And
Moses
said
to
Korah,
Hear,
I
pray
you,
you
sons
of
Levi:
9
Seems
it
but
a

him,
and
all
your

you:

are
gathered

against
the

and
what
is
Aaron,
that
you

12
And
Moses
sent
to
call
Dathan
and
Abiram,
the
sons
of
Eliab:
which
said,
We
will
not
come
up:
13
Is
it
a

that
you
have
brought
us
up
out
of
a
land
that
flows
with
milk
and
honey,
to

except
you
make
yourself
altogether
a
prince
over
us?
14
Moreover
you
have
not
brought
us
into
a
land
that
flows
with
milk
and
honey,
or
given
us
inheritance
of
fields
and
vineyards:
will
you
put
out
the
eyes
of
these
men?
we
will
not
come
up.
15
And
Moses
was
very
wroth,
and
said
to
the
LORD,
Respect
not
you
their
offering:
I
have
not
taken
one
ass
from
them,
neither
have
I
hurt
one
of
them.
16
And
Moses
said
to
Korah,
Be
you
and
all
your
company
before
the
LORD,
you,
and
they,
and
Aaron,
to
morrow:
17
And
take
every
man
his
censer,
and
put
incense
in
them,
and
bring
you
before
the
LORD
every
man
his
censer,
two
hundred
and
fifty
censers;
you
also,
and
Aaron,
each
of
you
his
censer.
18
And
they
took
every
man
his
censer,
and
put
fire
in
them,
and
laid
incense
thereon,
and
stood
in
the
door
of
the
tabernacle
of
the
congregation
with
Moses
and
Aaron.
19
And
Korah
gathered
all
the
congregation
against
them
to
the
door
of
the
tabernacle
of
the
congregation:
and
the
glory
of
the
LORD
appeared
to
all
the
congregation.
20
And
the
LORD
spoke
to
Moses
and
to
Aaron,
saying,
21
Separate
yourselves
from
among
this
congregation,
that
I
may
consume
them
in
a

22
And
they
fell
on
their
faces,
and
said,
O
God,
the
God
of
the
spirits
of
all
flesh,
shall
one
man
sin,
and
will
you
be
wroth
with
all
the
congregation?
23
And
the
LORD
spoke
to
Moses,
saying,
24
Speak
to
the
congregation,
saying,
Get
you
up
from
about
the
tabernacle
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram.
25
And
Moses
rose
up
and
went
to
Dathan
and
Abiram;
and
the
elders
of
Israel
followed
him.
26
And
he
spoke
to
the
congregation,
saying,
Depart,
I
pray
you,
from
the
tents
of
these
wicked
men,
and
touch
nothing
of
their's,
lest
you
be
consumed
in
all
their
sins.
27
So
they
got
up
from
the
tabernacle
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram,
on
every
side:
and
Dathan
and
Abiram
came
out,
and
stood
in
the
door
of
their
tents,
and
their
wives,
and
their
sons,
and
their
little
children.
28
And
Moses
said,
Hereby
you
shall
know
that
the
LORD
has
sent
me
to
do
all
these
works;
for
I
have
not
done
them
of
my
own
mind.
29
If
these
men
die
the
common
death
of
all
men,
or
if
they
be
visited
after
the
visitation
of
all
men;
then
the
LORD
has
not
sent
me.
30
But
if
the
LORD
make
a
new
thing,
and
the
earth
open
her
mouth,
and
swallow
them
up,
with
all
that
appertain
to
them,
and
they
go
down
quick
into
the
pit;
then
you
shall
understand
that
these
men
have
provoked
the
LORD.
31
And
it
came
to
pass,
as
he
had
made
an
end
of
speaking
all
these
words,
that
the
ground
split
asunder
that
was
under
them:
32
And
the
earth
opened
her
mouth,
and
swallowed
them
up,
and
their
houses,
and
all
the
men
that
appertained
to
Korah,
and
all
their
goods.
33
They,
and
all
that
appertained
to
them,
went
down
alive
into
the
pit,
and
the
earth
closed
on
them:
and
they
perished
from
among
the
congregation.
34
And
all
Israel
that
were
round
about
them
fled
at
the
cry
of
them:
for
they
said,
Lest
the
earth
swallow
us
up
also.
35
And
there
came
out
a
fire
from
the
LORD,
and
consumed
the
two
hundred
and
fifty
men
that
offered
incense.
36
And
the
LORD
spoke
to
Moses,
saying,
37
Speak
to
Eleazar
the
son
of
Aaron
the
priest,
that
he
take
up
the
censers
out
of
the
burning,
and
scatter
you
the
fire
yonder;
for
they
are
hallowed.
38
The
censers
of
these
sinners
against
their
own
souls,
let
them
make
them
broad
plates
for
a
covering
of
the
altar:
for
they
offered
them
before
the
LORD,
therefore
they
are
hallowed:
and
they
shall
be
a
sign
to
the
children
of
Israel.
39
And
Eleazar
the
priest
took
the
brazen
censers,
with
which
they
that
were
burnt
had
offered;
and
they
were
made
broad
plates
for
a
covering
of
the
altar:
40
To
be
a
memorial
to
the
children
of
Israel,
that
no
stranger,
which
is
not
of
the
seed
of
Aaron,
come
near
to
offer
incense
before
the
LORD;
that
he
be
not
as
Korah,
and
as
his
company:
as
the
LORD
said
to
him
by
the
hand
of
Moses.
41
But
on
the
morrow
all
the
congregation
of
the
children
of
Israel
murmured
against
Moses
and
against
Aaron,
saying,
You
have
killed
the
people
of
the
LORD.
42
And
it
came
to
pass,
when
the
congregation
was
gathered
against
Moses
and
against
Aaron,
that
they
looked
toward
the
tabernacle
of
the
congregation:
and,
behold,
the
cloud
covered
it,
and
the
glory
of
the
LORD
appeared.
43
And
Moses
and
Aaron
came
before
the
tabernacle
of
the
congregation.
44
And
the
LORD
spoke
to
Moses,
saying,
45
Get
you
up
from
among
this
congregation,
that
I
may
consume
them
as
in
a
moment.
And
they
fell
on
their
faces.
46
And
Moses
said
to
Aaron,
Take
a
censer,
and
put
fire
therein
from
off
the
altar,
and
put
on
incense,
and
go
quickly
to
the
congregation,
and
make
an
atonement
for
them:
for
there
is
wrath
gone
out
from
the
LORD;
the
plague
is
begun.
47
And
Aaron
took
as
Moses
commanded,
and
ran
into
the
middle
of
the
congregation;
and,
behold,
the
plague
was
begun
among
the
people:
and
he
put
on
incense,
and
made
an
atonement
for
the
people.
48
And
he
stood
between
the
dead
and
the
living;
and
the
plague
was
stayed.
49
Now
they
that
died
in
the
plague
were
fourteen
thousand
and
seven
hundred,
beside
them
that
died
about
the
matter
of
Korah.
50
And
Aaron
returned
to
Moses
to
the
door
of
the
tabernacle
of
the
congregation:
and
the
plague
was
stayed.

Moses
said
to
Korah,
"Listen
now,
you
sons
of
Levi!
9
Does
it
seem
too
small
a
thing
to
you
that
the
God
of
Israel
has
separated
you
from
the
community
of
Israel
to
bring
you
near
to
himself,
to
perform
the
service
of
the
tabernacle
of
the
LORD,
and
to
stand
before
the
community
to
minister
to
them?
10
He
has
brought
you
near
and
all
your
brothers,
the
sons
of
Levi,
with
you.
Do
you
now
seek
the
priesthood
also?
11
Therefore
you
and
all
your
company
have
assembled
together
against
the
LORD!
And
Aaron—
what
is
he
that
you
murmur
against
him?"
12
Then
Moses
summoned
Dathan
and
Abiram,
the
sons
of
Eliab,
but
they
said,
"We
will
not
come
up.
13
Is
it
a
small
thing
that
you
have
brought
us
up
out
of
the
land
that
flows
with
milk
and
honey,
to
kill
us
in
the
wilderness?
Now
do
you
want
to
make
yourself
a
prince
over
us?
14
Moreover,
you
have
not
brought
us
into
a
land
that
flows
with
milk
and
honey,
nor
given
us
an
inheritance
of
fields
and
vineyards.
Do
you
think
you
can
blind
these
men?
We
will
not
come
up."
15
Moses
was
very
angry,
and
he
said
to
the
LORD,
"Have
no
respect
for
their
offering!
I
have
not
taken
so
much
as
one
donkey
from
them,
nor
have
I
harmed
any
one
of
them!"
16
Then
Moses
said
to
Korah,
"You
and
all
your
company
present
yourselves
before
the
LORD—
you
and
they,
and
Aaron—
tomorrow.
17
And
each
of
you
take
his
censer,
put
incense
in
it,
and
then
each
of
you
present
his
censer
before
the
LORD:
250
censers,
along
with
you,
and
Aaron—
each
of
you
with
his
censer."
18
So
everyone
took
his
censer,
put
fire
in
it,
and
set
incense
on
it,
and
stood
at
the
entrance
of
the
tent
of
meeting,
with
Moses
and
Aaron.
19
When
Korah
assembled
the
whole
community
against
them
at
the
entrance
of
the
tent
of
meeting,
then
the
glory
of
the
LORD
appeared
to
the
whole
community.
20
The
LORD
spoke
to
Moses
and
Aaron:
21
"Separate
yourselves
from
among
this
community,
that
I
may
consume
them
in
an
instant."
22
Then
they
threw
themselves
down
with
their
faces
to
the
ground
and
said,
"O
God,
the
God
of
the
spirits
of
all
people,
will
you
be
angry
with
the
whole
community
when
only
one
man
sins?"
23
So
the
LORD
spoke
to
Moses:
24
"Tell
the
community:
'Get
away
from
around
the
homes
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram.'"
25
Then
Moses
got
up
and
went
to
Dathan
and
Abiram;
and
the
elders
of
Israel
went
after
him.
26
And
he
said
to
the
community,
"Move
away
from
the
tents
of
these
wicked
men,
and
do
not
touch
anything
they
have,
lest
you
be
destroyed
because
of
all
their
sins."
27
So
they
got
away
from
the
homes
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram
on
every
side,
and
Dathan
and
Abiram
came
out
and
stationed
themselves
in
the
entrances
of
their
tents
with
their
wives,
their
children,
and
their
toddlers.
28
Then
Moses
said,
"This
is
how
you
will
know
that
the
LORD
has
sent
me
to
do
all
these
works,
for
I
have
not
done
them
of
my
own
will.
29
If
these
men
die
a
natural
death,
or
if
they
share
the
fate
of
all
men,
then
the
LORD
has
not
sent
me.
30
But
if
the
LORD
does
something
entirely
new,
and
the
earth
opens
its
mouth
and
swallows
them
up
along
with
all
that
they
have,
and
they
go
down
alive
to
the
grave,
then
you
will
know
that
these
men
have
despised
the
LORD!"
31
When
he
had
finished
speaking
all
these
words,
the
ground
that
was
under
them
split
open,
32
and
the
earth
opened
its
mouth
and
swallowed
them,
along
with
their
households,
and
all
Korah's
men,
and
all
their
goods.
33
They
and
all
that
they
had
went
down
alive
into
the
pit,
and
the
earth
closed
over
them.
So
they
perished
from
among
the
community.
34
All
the
Israelites
who
were
around
them
fled
at
their
cry,
for
they
said,
"What
if
the
earth
swallows
us
too?"
35
Then
a
fire
went
out
from
the
LORD
and
devoured
the
250
men
who
offered
incense.
36
The
LORD
spoke
to
Moses:
37
"Tell
Eleazar
son
of
Aaron
the
priest
to
pick
up
the
censers
out
of
the
flame,
for
they
are
holy,
and
then
scatter
the
coals
of
fire
at
a
distance.
38
As
for
the
censers
of
these
men
who
sinned
at
the
cost
of
their
lives,
they
must
be
made
into
hammered
sheets
for
covering
the
altar,
because
they
presented
them
before
the
LORD
and
sanctified
them.
They
will
become
a
sign
to
the
Israelites."
39
So
Eleazar
the
priest
took
the
bronze
censers
presented
by
those
who
had
been
burned
up,
and
they
were
hammered
out
as
a
covering
for
the
altar.
40
It
was
a
memorial
for
the
Israelites,
that
no
outsider
who
is
not
a
descendant
of
Aaron
should
approach
to
burn
incense
before
the
LORD,
that
he
might
not
become
like
Korah
and
his
company—
just
as
the
LORD
had
spoken
by
the
authority
of
Moses.
41
But
on
the
next
day
the
whole
community
of
Israelites
murmured
against
Moses
and
Aaron,
saying,
"You
have
killed
the
LORD's
people!"
42
When
the
community
assembled
against
Moses
and
Aaron,
they
turned
toward
the
tent
of
meeting—
and
the
cloud
covered
it,
and
the
glory
of
the
LORD
appeared.
43
Then
Moses
and
Aaron
stood
before
the
tent
of
meeting.
44
The
LORD
spoke
to
Moses:
45
"Get
away
from
this
community,
so
that
I
can
consume
them
in
an
instant!"
But
they
threw
themselves
down
with
their
faces
to
the
ground.
46
Then
Moses
said
to
Aaron,
"Take
the
censer,
put
burning
coals
from
the
altar
in
it,
place
incense
on
it,
and
go
quickly
into
the
assembly
and
make
atonement
for
them,
for
wrath
has
gone
out
from
the
LORD—
the
plague
has
begun!"
47
So
Aaron
did
as
Moses
commanded
and
ran
into
the
middle
of
the
assembly,
where
the
plague
was
just
beginning
among
the
people.
So
he
placed
incense
on
the
coals
and
made
atonement
for
the
people.
48
He
stood
between
the
dead
and
the
living,
and
the
plague
was
stopped.
49
Now
14,700
people
died
in
the
plague,
in
addition
to
those
who
died
in
the
event
with
Korah.
50
Then
Aaron
returned
to
Moses
at
the
entrance
of
the
tent
of
meeting,
and
the
plague
was
stopped.

When
Moses
heard
this,
he
bowed
his
face
to
the
ground
to
show
he
was
not
being
proud.
5
Then
Moses
said
to
Korah
and
all
his
followers,
"Tomorrow
morning
the
Lord
will
show
who
belongs
to
him.
He
will

he

He
will
choose
him
and
bring

6
So
Korah,
you
and
all
your
followers
should
do
this:
7
Tomorrow
put
fire
and
incense
in
some
special
pans.
Then
bring
those
pans
before
the
Lord.
He
will
choose
the
man
who
is
holy.
You

gone

8
Moses
also
said
to
Korah,
"You
Levites,
listen
to
me.
9
You
should
be
happy
that
the
God
of
Israel
chose
you
and
made
you
special.
You
are
different
from
the
rest
of
the
Israelites.
The
Lord
brought
you
near
to
him
to
do
the
special
work
in
the
Lord's
Holy
Tent
to
help
the
Israelites
worship
him.
Isn't
that
enough?
10
He
brought
you
Levites
near
to
him
to
help
the
priests,
but
now
you
are
trying
to
become
priests
also.
11
You
and
your
followers
have
joined
together
and
turned
against
the
Lord!
Did
Aaron
do
anything
wrong?
No,
so
why
are
you
complaining
against
Aaron?"
12
Then
Moses
called
Dathan
and
Abiram,
the
sons
of
Eliab.
But
the
two
men
said,
"We
will
not
come!
13
You
have
brought
us
out
of
a
land
filled
with
many
good
things.
You
brought
us
to
the
desert
to
kill
us.
And
now
you
want
to
show
that
you
have
even
more
power
over
us.
14
Why
should
we
follow
you?
You
did
not
bring
us
into
the
new
land
filled
with
many
good
things.
You
did
not
give
us
the
land
God
promised.
You
did
not
give
us
the
fields
or
the
vineyards.
Will
you
make
these
men
your
slaves?
No!
We
will
not
come."
15
So
Moses
became
very
angry.
He
said
to
the
Lord,
"I
never
did
anything
wrong
to
these
people.
I
never
took
anything
from
them—not
even
a
donkey!
Don't
accept
their
gifts!"
16
Then
Moses
said
to
Korah,
"You
and
all
your
followers
will
stand
before
the
Lord
tomorrow.
Aaron
will
also
be
there
with
you
and
your
followers.
17
Each
of
you
must
bring
a
pan,
put
incense
on

and
present

to

Lord.
There
will
be
250
pans
for
the
leaders
and
one
pan
for
you
and
one
pan
for
Aaron."
18
So
each
man
got
a
pan
and
put
burning
incense
on
it.
Then
they
stood
at
the
entrance
of
the
Meeting
Tent.
Moses
and
Aaron
also
stood
there.
19
Korah
also
gathered
all
the
people
together
at
the
entrance
of
the
Meeting
Tent.
Then
the
Glory
of
the
Lord
appeared
to
everyone
there.
20
The
Lord
said
to
Moses
and
Aaron,
21
"Move
away
from
these
men!
I
want
to
destroy
them
now!"
22
But
Moses
and
Aaron
bowed
to
the
ground
and
cried
out,
"God,
you
know
what
people
are
thinking.
Please
don't
be
angry
with
all
these
people.
Only
one
man
really
sinned."
23
Then
the
Lord
said
to
Moses,
24
"Tell
the
people
to
move
away
from
the
tents
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram."
25
Moses
stood
and
went
to
Dathan
and
Abiram.
All
the
elders
of
Israel
followed
him.
26
Moses
warned
the
people,
"Move
away
from
the
tents
of
these
evil
men.
Don't
touch
anything
that
belongs
to
them!
If
you
do,
you
will
be
destroyed
because
of
their
sins."
27
So
the
men
moved
away
from
the
tents
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram.
Dathan
and
Abiram
went
to
their
tents.
They
stood
outside
of
their
tents
with
their
wives,
children,
and
little
babies.
28
Then
Moses
said,
"I
will
show
you
proof
that
the
Lord
sent
me
to
do
all
the
things
I
told
you.
I
will
show
you
that
all
these
things
were
not
my
own
idea.
29
These
men
will
die,
but
if
they
die
in
a
normal
way—the
way
people
always
die—
then
that
will
show
that
the
Lord
did
not
really
send
me.
30
But
if
the
Lord
causes
them
to
die
in
a
different
way—something
new—then
you
will
know
that
these
men
have
sinned
against
the
Lord.
This
is
the
proof:
the
earth
will
open
and
swallow
them.
They
will
go
down
to
their
grave
still
alive.
And
everything
that
belongs
to
these
men
will
go
down
with
them."
31
When
Moses
finished
saying
these
things,
the
ground
under
the
men
opened.
32
It
was
as
if
the
earth
opened
its
mouth
and
swallowed
them.
All
of
Korah's
men,
their
families,
and
everything
they
owned
went
down
into
the
earth.
33
They
went
down
into
their
grave
alive.
Everything
they
owned
went
with
them.
Then
the
earth
closed
over
them.
They
were
finished—
gone
from
the
camp!
34
The
Israelites
heard
the
cries
of
the
men
being
destroyed.
So
they
all
ran
in
different
directions
and
said,
"The
earth
will
swallow
us,
too!"
35
Then
a
fire
came
from
the
Lord
and
destroyed
the
250
men
who
were
offering
the
incense.
36
The
Lord
said
to
Moses,
37
"Tell
Eleazar
son
of
Aaron
the
priest
to
get
all
the
incense
pans
from
the
fire.
Tell
him
to
scatter
the
coals
and
ashes.
These
men
sinned
against
me,
and
their
sin
cost
them
their
lives.
But
the
incense
pans
are
still
holy.
The
pans
became
holy
when
people
gave
them
to
the
Lord.
Hammer
the
pans
into
flat
sheets.
Use
the
metal
sheets
to
cover
the
altar.
This
will
be
a
warning
to
all
of
the
Israelites."
38
vnumber="38">
39
So
Eleazar
the
priest
gathered
together
all
the
bronze
pans
that
the
men
had
brought.
These
men
were
all
burned
up,
but
the
pans
were
still
there.
Then
Eleazar
told
some
men
to
hammer
the
pans
into
flat
metal.
Then
he
put
the
metal
sheets
on
the
altar.
40
He
did
this
the
way
the
Lord
commanded
him
through
Moses.
This
was
a
sign
to
help
the
Israelites
remember
that
only
someone
from
the
family
of
Aaron
should
burn
incense
before
the
Lord.
Any
other
person
who
burns
incense
before
the
Lord
will
die
like
Korah
and
his
followers.
41
The
next
day
all
the
Israelites
complained
against
Moses
and
Aaron.
They
said,
"You
killed
the
Lord's
people."
42
Moses
and
Aaron
were
standing
at
the
entrance
of
the
Meeting
Tent.
The
people
gathered
together
at
that
place
to
complain
against
Moses
and
Aaron.
But
when
they
looked
toward
the
Meeting
Tent,
the
cloud
covered
it
and
the
Glory
of
the
Lord
appeared
there.
43
Then
Moses
and
Aaron
went
to
the
front
of
the
Meeting
Tent.
44
The
Lord
said
to
Moses,
45
"Move
away
from
these
people
so
that
I
can
destroy
them
now."
So
Moses
and
Aaron
bowed
with
their
faces
to
the
ground.
46
Then
Moses
said
to
Aaron,
"Get
your
bronze
pan
and
some
fire
from
the
altar.
Then
put
incense
on
it.
Hurry
to
the
people
and
do
the
things
that
will
make
them
pure.
The
Lord
is
angry
with
them.
The
trouble
has
already
started."
47
So
Aaron
did
what
Moses
said.
Aaron
got
the
incense
and
the
fire,
and
he
ran
to
the
middle
of
the
people.
But
the
sickness
had
already
started
among
them.
So
Aaron
stood
between
the
dead
and
those
who
were
still
alive.
He
did
the
things
to
make
the
people
pure,
and
the
sickness
stopped
there.
48
vnumber="48">
49
But
14,700
people
died
from
that
sickness—and
that
is
not
counting
the
people
who
died
because
of
Korah.
50
So
the
terrible
sickness
was
stopped
and
Aaron
went
back
to
Moses
at
the
entrance
of
the
Meeting
Tent.

in

the

the
ground
opened,
and
swallowed

their

all
the

that

33
And
they
went
down
and
all
that
they
had,
alive
into
Hades;
and
the
ground
covered
them,
and
they
perished
from

of
the
congregation.
34
And
all
Israel
round

for

they
said,
Lest

35
And
fire
went
forth
from
the
Lord,
and
devoured
the
two
hundred
and
fifty
men
that
offered
incense.
36
And
the
Lord
said
to
Moses,
37
and
to
Eleazar
the
son
of
Aaron
the
priest,
Take
up
the
brazen
censers
out
of
the
midst
of
the
men
that
have
been
burnt,
and
scatter
the
strange
fire
yonder,
for
they
have
sanctified
the
censers
38
of
these
sinners
against
their
own
souls,
and
do
thou
make
them
beaten
plates
a
covering
to
the
altar,
because
they
were
brought
before
the
Lord
and
hallowed;
and
they
became
a
sign
to
the
children
of
Israel.
39
And
Eleazar
the
son
of
Aaron
the
priest
took
the
brazen
censers,
which
the
men
who
had
been
burnt
brought
near,
and
they
put
them
as
a
covering
on
the
altar:
40
a
memorial
to
the
children
of
Israel
that
no
stranger
might
draw
nigh,
who
is
not
of
the
seed
of
Aaron,
to
offer
incense
before
the
Lord;
so
he
shall
not
be
as
Core
and
as
they
that
conspired
with
him,
as
the
Lord
spoke
to
him
by
the
hand
of
Moses.
41
And
the
children
of
Israel
murmured
the
next
day
against
Moses
and
Aaron,
saying,
Ye
have
killed
the
people
of
the
Lord.
42
And
it
came
to
pass
when
the
congregation
combined
against
Moses
and
Aaron,
that
they
ran
impetuously
to
the
tabernacle
of
witness;
and
the
cloud
covered
it,
and
the
glory
of
the
Lord
appeared.
43
And
Moses
and
Aaron
went
in,
in
front
of
the
tabernacle
of
witness.
44
And
the
Lord
spoke
to
Moses
and
Aaron,
saying,
45
Depart
out
of
the
midst
of
this
congregation,
and
I
will
consume
them
at
once:
and
they
fell
upon
their
faces.
46
And
Moses
said
to
Aaron,
Take
a
censer,
and
put
on
it
fire
from
the
altar,
and
put
incense
on
it,
and
carry
it
away
quickly
into
the
camp,
and
make
atonement
for
them;
for
wrath
is
gone
forth
from
the
presence
of
the
Lord,
it
has
begun
to
destroy
the
people.
47
And
Aaron
took
as
Moses
spoke
to
him,
and
ran
among
the
congregation,
for
already
the
plague
had
begun
among
the
people;
and
he
put
on
incense,
and
made
an
atonement
for
the
people.
48
And
he
stood
between
the
dead
and
the
living,
and
the
plague
ceased.
49
And
they
that
died
in
the
plague
were
fourteen
thousand
and
seven
hundred,
besides
those
that
died
on
account
of
Core.
50
And
Aaron
returned
to
Moses
to
the
door
of
the
tabernacle
of
witness,
and
the
plague
ceased.

of
Reuben,
caused
trouble.
2
They
came
in
front
of
Moses,
together
with
some
of
the
sons
of
Israel.
They
had
chosen
250
leaders
of
the
people
of
Israel,
well-known
men.
3
They
all
gathered
together
against
Moses
and
Aaron,
and
said
to
them,
"You
have
gone
too
far!
For
all
the
people
are
holy,
every
one
of
them,
and
the
Lord
is
among
them.
So
why
do
you
honor
yourselves
more
than
the
people
of
the
Lord?"
4
When
Moses
heard
this,
he
bowed
to
the
ground.
5
He
said
to
Korah
and
all
who
were
with
him,
"Tomorrow
morning
the
Lord
will
show
who
is
His,
and
who
is
holy.
He
will
have
him
come
near
to
Him.
He
will
bring
near
to
Himself
the
one
whom
He
will
choose.
6
Do
this,
Korah
and
all
who
are
with
you.
Take
pots
for
burning
special
perfume.
7
Put
fire
in
them,
and
put
special
perfume
upon
them
before
the
Lord
tomorrow.
The
man
whom
the
Lord
chooses
will
be
the
one
who
is
holy.
You
have
gone
too
far,
you
sons
of
Levi!"
8
Then
Moses
said
to
Korah,
"Hear
now,
you
sons
of
Levi.
9
Is
it
not
enough
for
you
that
the
God
of
Israel
has
set
you
apart
from
the
rest
of
the
people
of
Israel?
He
has
brought
you
near
to
Himself.
He
has
you
do
the
work
around
the
meeting
tent
of
the
Lord.
And
He
has
you
stand
in
front
of
the
people
to
care
for
them.
10
He
has
brought
you
near
to
Him,
Korah,
and
all
your
brothers
who
are
the
sons
of
Levi,
with
you.
Would
you
try
to
be
the
religious
leaders
also?
11
So
you
and
all
who
are
with
you
are
gathered
together
against
the
Lord.
But
as
for
Aaron,
who
is
he
that
you
complain
against
him?"
12
Then
Moses
sent
to
call
Dathan
and
Abiram,
the
sons
of
Eliab.
But
they
said,
"We
will
not
come
up.
13
Is
it
not
enough
that
you
have
brought
us
up
out
of
a
land
flowing
with
milk
and
honey
to
have
us
die
in
the
desert?
Must
you
make
yourself
a
ruler
over
us
also?
14
More
than
this,
you
have
not
brought
us
into
a
land
flowing
with
milk
and
honey.
You
have
not
given
us
any
land
with
fields
and
grape
vines.
Would
you
put
out
the
eyes
of
these
men?
We
will
not
come
up!"
15
Moses
became
very
angry.
He
said
to
the
Lord,
"Do
not
respect
their
gift!
I
have
not
taken
one
donkey
from
them.
And
I
have
not
hurt
one
of
them."
16
Then
Moses
said
to
Korah,
"You
and
all
who
are
with
you
be
before
the
Lord
tomorrow,
you
and
they,
and
Aaron.
17
Each
of
you
take
his
fire
pot
and
put
special
perfume
on
it.
And
each
of
you
bring
his
fire
pot
before
the
Lord,
250
fire
pots.
Let
both
you
and
Aaron
bring
his
fire
pot
also."
18
So
each
man
took
his
fire
pot
and
put
fire
in
it
and
put
special
perfume
on
it.
And
they
stood
at
the
door
of
the
meeting
tent
with
Moses
and
Aaron.
19
Korah
gathered
together
all
the
people
against
them
at
the
door
of
the
meeting
tent.
And
the
shining-greatness
of
the
Lord
was
seen
by
all
the
people.
20
The
Lord
said
to
Moses
and
Aaron,
21
"Go
away
from
these
people,
so
I
may
destroy
them
at
once."
22
But
they
fell
on
their
faces,
and
said,
"O
God,
the
God
of
the
spirits
of
all
flesh,
when
one
man
sins,
will
You
be
angry
with
all
the
people?"
23
Then
the
Lord
said
to
Moses,
24
"Say
to
the
people,
'Get
away
from
the
tents
of
Korah,
Dathan
and
Abiram.'
"
25
Then
Moses
got
up
and
went
to
Dathan
and
Abiram,
with
the
leaders
of
Israel
following
him.
26
And
he
said
to
the
people,
"Go
away
now
from
the
tents
of
these
sinful
men.
Touch
nothing
that
belongs
to
them,
or
you
will
be
destroyed
because
of
all
their
sin."
27
So
they
went
away
from
the
tents
of
Korah,
Dathan
and
Abiram.
And
Dathan
and
Abiram
came
out
and
stood
at
the
door
of
their
tents,
with
their
wives,
their
sons,
and
their
little
ones.
28
Moses
said,
"By
this
you
will
know
that
the
Lord
has
sent
me
to
do
all
these
works.
For
this
is
not
my
doing.
29
If
these
men
die
in
the
same
way
all
men
die,
or
if
what
happens
to
everyone
happens
to
them,
then
the
Lord
has
not
sent
me.
30
But
the
Lord
will
do
something
new.
The
ground
will
open
its
mouth
and
take
them
with
all
that
belongs
to
them.
And
they
will
go
down
alive
into
the
place
of
the
dead.
Then
you
will
understand
that
these
men
have
turned
against
the
Lord."
31
As
soon
as
he
stopped
speaking,
the
ground
under
them
opened
up.
32
The
earth
opened
its
mouth
and
took
them
and
all
those
of
their
house,
and
all
Korah's
men
and
all
that
belonged
to
them.
33
They
and
all
that
belonged
to
them
went
down
alive
to
the
place
of
the
dead,
and
the
earth
closed
over
them.
They
were
destroyed
from
among
the
people.
34
And
all
Israel
who
were
around
them
ran
away
at
their
cry.
For
they
said,
"The
earth
may
take
us
too!"
35
Then
fire
came
from
the
Lord
and
destroyed
the
250
men
who
had
brought
the
special
perfume.
36
The
Lord
said
to
Moses,
37
"Tell
Eleazar
the
son
of
Aaron
the
religious
leader
to
take
the
fire
pots
out
of
the
fire.
For
they
are
holy.
Then
spread
the
burning
pieces
far
apart.
38
Let
the
fire
pots
of
these
men
who
have
sinned
and
lost
their
lives
be
made
into
beaten
plates
to
cover
the
altar.
For
they
did
bring
them
to
the
Lord
and
they
are
holy.
They
will
be
something
special
for
the
people
of
Israel
to
see."
39
So
Eleazar
the
religious
leader
took
the
brass
fire
pots
which
the
men
who
were
burned
had
brought.
And
they
beat
them
into
plates
to
cover
the
altar.
40
They
were
to
make
the
people
of
Israel
remember
that
no
man
who
is
not
a
religious
leader
and
a
son
of
Aaron
should
come
to
burn
special
perfume
before
the
Lord.
Or
he
might
become
like
Korah
and
those
who
were
with
him,
as
the
Lord
said
to
Eleazar
through
Moses.
41
But
on
the
next
day
all
the
people
of
Israel
complained
against
Moses
and
Aaron,
saying,
"You
are
the
ones
who
have
caused
the
death
of
the
Lord's
people."
42
When
the
people
had
gathered
against
Moses
and
Aaron,
they
turned
toward
the
meeting
tent.
There
the
cloud
covered
it
and
they
saw
the
shining-greatness
of
the
Lord.
43
Then
Moses
and
Aaron
came
to
the
front
of
the
meeting
tent.
44
And
the
Lord
said
to
Moses,
45
"Get
away
from
these
people,
so
I
may
destroy
them
at
once."
Then
they
fell
on
their
faces.
46
Moses
said
to
Aaron,
"Take
your
fire
pot
and
put
fire
in
it
from
the
altar,
and
lay
special
perfume
on
it.
Then
be
quick
to
bring
it
to
the
people
and
pay
for
their
sin.
For
anger
has
gone
out
from
the
Lord.
The
disease
has
come!"
47
So
Aaron
took
it
as
Moses
said,
and
ran
to
the
people.
The
disease
had
already
come
upon
them.
He
put
on
the
special
perfume
and
paid
for
the
sin
of
the
people.
48
He
stood
between
the
dead
and
the
living,
and
the
disease
was
stopped.
49
But
14,700
people
died
by
the
disease,
as
well
as
those
who
died
because
of
Korah.
50
Then
Aaron
returned
to
Moses
at
the
door
of
the
meeting
tent,
for
the
disease
had
been
stopped.

Korah,

and

turned
against
Moses.
(Korah

of
Levi;
Dathan
and

were

and

was
the
son
of
Peleth;
Dathan,
Abiram,
and
On

the

2
These
men
gathered
two
hundred
fifty
other
Israelite
men,
well-known
leaders
chosen
by
the
community,
and
challenged
Moses.
3
They
came
as
a
group
to
speak
to
Moses
and
Aaron
and
said,
"You
have
gone
too
far.
All
the
people
are
holy,
every
one
of
them,
and
the
Lord
is
among
them.
So
why
do
you
put
yourselves
above
all
the
people
of
the
Lord?"
4
When
Moses
heard
this,
he
bowed
facedown.
5
Then
he
said
to
Korah
and
all
his
followers:
"Tomorrow
morning
the
Lord
will
show
who
belongs
to
him.
He
will
bring
the
one
who
is
holy
near
to
him;
he
will
bring
to
himself
the
person
he
chooses.
6
So
Korah,
you
and
all
your
followers
do
this:
Get
some
pans
for
burning
incense.
7
Tomorrow
put
fire
and
incense
in
them
and
take
them
before
the
Lord.
He
will
choose
the
man
who
is
holy.
You
Levites
have
gone
too
far."
8
Moses
also
said
to
Korah,
"Listen,
you
Levites.
9
The
God
of
Israel
has
sep-arated
you
from
the
rest
of
the
Israelites.
He
brought
you
near
to
himself
to
do
the
work
in
the
Lord's
Holy
Tent
and
to
stand
before
all
the
Israelites
and
serve
them.
Isn't
that
enough?
10
He
has
brought
you
and
all
your
fellow
Levites
near
to
himself,
yet
now
you
want
to
be
priests.
11
You
and
your
followers
have
joined
together
against
the
Lord.
Your
complaint
is
not
against
Aaron."
12
Then
Moses
called
Dathan
and
Abiram,
the
sons
of
Eliab,
but
they
said,
"We
will
not
come!
13
You
have
brought
us
out
of
a
fertile
land
to
this
desert
to
kill
us,
and
now
you
want
to
order
us
around.
14
You
haven't
brought
us
into
a
fertile
land;
you
haven't
given
us
any
land
with
fields
and
vineyards.
Will
you
put
out
the
eyes
of
these
men?
No!
We
will
not
come!"
15
Then
Moses
became
very
angry
and
said
to
the
Lord,
"Don't
accept
their
gifts.
I
have
not
taken
anything
from
them,
not
even
a
donkey,
and
I
have
not
done
wrong
to
any
of
them."
16
Then
Moses
said
to
Korah,
"You
and
all
your
followers
must
stand
before
the
Lord
tomorrow.
And
Aaron
will
stand
there
with
you
and
them.
17
Each
of
you
must
take
your
pan
and
put
incense
in
it;
present
these
two
hundred
fifty
pans
before
the
Lord.
You
and
Aaron
must
also
present
your
pans."
18
So
each
man
got
his
pan
and
put
burning
incense
in
it
and
stood
with
Moses
and
Aaron
at
the
entrance
to
the
Meeting
Tent.
19
Korah
gathered
all
his
followers
who
were
against
Moses
and
Aaron,
and
they
stood
at
the
entrance
to
the
Meeting
Tent.
Then
the
glory
of
the
Lord
appeared
to
everyone.
20
The
Lord
said
to
Moses
and
Aaron,
21
"Move
away
from
these
men
so
I
can
destroy
them
quickly."
22
But
Moses
and
Aaron
bowed
facedown
and
cried
out,
"God,
you
are
the
God
over
the
spirits
of
all
people.
Please
don't
be
angry
with
this
whole
group.
Only
one
man
has
really
sinned."
23
Then
the
Lord
said
to
Moses,
24
"Tell
everyone
to
move
away
from
the
tents
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram."
25
Moses
stood
and
went
to
Dathan
and
Abiram;
the
older
leaders
of
Israel
followed
him.
26
Moses
warned
the
people,
"Move
away
from
the
tents
of
these
evil
men!
Don't
touch
anything
of
theirs,
or
you
will
be
destroyed
because
of
their
sins."
27
So
they
moved
away
from
the
tents
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram.
Dathan
and
Abiram
were
standing
outside
their
tents
with
their
wives,
children,
and
little
babies.
28
Then
Moses
said,
"Now
you
will
know
that
the
Lord
has
sent
me
to
do
all
these
things;
it
was
not
my
idea.
29
If
these
men
die
a
normal
death
--
the
way
men
usually
die
--
then
the
Lord
did
not
really
send
me.
30
But
if
the
Lord
does
something
new,
you
will
know
they
have
insulted
the
Lord.
The
ground
will
open
and
swallow
them.
They
will
be
buried
alive
and
will
go
to
the
place
of
the
dead,
and
everything
that
belongs
to
them
will
go
with
them."
31
When
Moses
finished
saying
these
things,
the
ground
under
the
men
split
open.
32
The
earth
opened
and
swallowed
them
and
all
their
families.
All
Korah's
men
and
everything
they
owned
went
down.
33
They
were
buried
alive,
going
to
the
place
of
the
dead,
and
everything
they
owned
went
with
them.
Then
the
earth
covered
them.
They
died
and
were
gone
from
the
community.
34
The
people
of
Israel
around
them
heard
their
screams
and
ran
away,
saying,
"The
earth
will
swallow
us,
too!"
35
Then
a
fire
came
down
from
the
Lord
and
destroyed
the
two
hundred
fifty
men
who
had
presented
the
incense.
36
The
Lord
said
to
Moses,
37
"Tell
Eleazar
son
of
Aaron,
the
priest,
to
take
all
the
incense
pans
out
of
the
fire.
Have
him
scatter
the
coals
a
long
distance
away.
But
the
incense
pans
are
still
holy.
38
Take
the
pans
of
these
men
who
sinned
and
lost
their
lives,
and
hammer
them
into
flat
sheets
that
will
be
used
to
cover
the
altar.
They
are
holy,
because
they
were
presented
to
the
Lord,
and
they
will
be
a
sign
to
the
Israelites."
39
So
Eleazar
the
priest
gathered
all
the
bronze
pans
that
had
been
brought
by
the
men
who
were
burned
up.
He
had
the
pans
hammered
into
flat
sheets
to
put
on
the
altar,
40
as
the
Lord
had
commanded
him
through
Moses.
These
sheets
were
to
remind
the
Israelites
that
only
descendants
of
Aaron
should
burn
incense
before
the
Lord.
Anyone
else
would
die
like
Korah
and
his
followers.
41
The
next
day
all
the
Israelites
complained
against
Moses
and
Aaron
and
said,
"You
have
killed
the
Lord's
people."
42
When
the
people
gathered
to
complain
against
Moses
and
Aaron,
they
turned
toward
the
Meeting
Tent,
and
the
cloud
covered
it.
The
glory
of
the
Lord
appeared.
43
Then
Moses
and
Aaron
went
in
front
of
the
Meeting
Tent.
44
The
Lord
said
to
Moses,
45
"Move
away
from
these
people
so
I
can
destroy
them
quickly."
So
Moses
and
Aaron
bowed
facedown.
46
Then
Moses
said
to
Aaron,
"Get
your
pan,
and
put
fire
from
the
altar
and
incense
in
it.
Hurry
to
the
people
and
remove
their
sin.
The
Lord
is
angry
with
them;
the
sickness
has
already
started."
47
So
Aaron
did
as
Moses
said.
He
ran
to
the
middle
of
the
people,
where
the
sickness
had
already
started
among
them.
So
Aaron
offered
the
incense
to
remove
their
sin.
48
He
stood
between
the
dead
and
the
living,
and
the
sickness
stopped
there.
49
But
14,700
people
died
from
that
sickness,
in
addition
to
those
who
died
because
of
Korah.
50
Then
Aaron
went
back
to
Moses
at
the
entrance
to
the
Meeting
Tent.
The
terrible
sickness
had
been
stopped.

So
Moses
led
the
people
out
of
Egypt.
He
worked
miracles
and
signs
in
Egypt,
at
the
Red
Sea,
and
then
in
the
desert
for
forty
years.

said
to

You
presume
too

For
all
the
congregation,
all
of

are
holy,
and
Jehovah
is
among

Why
then
do
you

above

And
Moses
heard
and
fell
on
his
face.
5
And
he
spoke
to
Korah,
and
to
all
his
company,
saying,
In
the
morning
Jehovah
will
know
who
are
His,
and
him
who

this:
take
fire-pans

Korah,

all
his

7
and
put
fire
in
them,
and
put
incense
on

the
man
whom
Jehovah
chooses,
he
shall
be
the
holy
one.
You
take
too
much,
sons
of
Levi!
8
And
Moses
said
to
Korah,
Hear
now,
you
sons
of
Levi,
9
is
it
but
a
small
thing
to
you
that
the
God
of
Israel
has
separated
you
from
the
congregation
of
Israel
to
bring
you
near
to
Himself,
to
do
the
service
of
the
tabernacle
of
Jehovah,
and
to
stand
before
the
congregation
to
minister
to
them?
10
Yea,
He
has
brought
you
near,
and
all
your
brothers,
the
sons
of
Levi,
with
you.
And
will
you
seek
the
priesthood
also?
11
Therefore,
you
and
all
your
company
that
have
gathered
against
Jehovah,
What
is
Aaron
that
you
murmur
against
him?
12
And
Moses
sent
to
call
for
Dathan
and
for
Abiram,
the
sons
of
Eliab;
and
they
said,
We
will
not
come
up.
13
Is
it
a
small
thing
that
you
have
brought
us
up
out
of
a
land
flowing
with
milk
and
honey,
to
kill
us
in
the
wilderness,
but
must
you
seizing
also
seize
dominion
over
us?
14
Yea,
you
have
not
brought
us
into
a
land
flowing
with
milk
and
honey,
nor
given
us
inheritance
in
fields
and
vineyards;
will
you
put
out
the
eyes
of
these
men?
We
will
not
come
up!
15
And
Moses
was
very
angry,
and
said
to
Jehovah,
Do
not
respect
their
offering;
I
have
not
taken
one
ass
from
them,
nor
have
I
done
evil
to
one
of
them.
16
And
Moses
said
to
Korah,
You
and
all
your
company,
you
be
there
before
Jehovah,
you
and
they,
and
Aaron
tomorrow.
17
And
each
one
take
his
fire-pan,
and
you
shall
put
incense
on
them,
and
shall
offer
before
Jehovah,
each
his
fire-pan,
two
hundred
and
fifty
fire-pans;
even
you
and
Aaron,
each
his
fire-pan.
18
And
they
each
took
his
fire-pan,
and
put
fire
on
them,
and
lay
incense
on
them,
and
they
stood
at
the
door
of
the
tabernacle
of
the
congregation,
with
Moses
and
Aaron.
19
And
Korah
assembled
all
the
congregation
against
them,
to
the
door
of
the
tabernacle
of
the
congregation,
and
the
glory
of
Jehovah
was
seen
by
all
the
congregation.
20
And
Jehovah
spoke
to
Moses
and
to
Aaron,
saying,
21
Separate
yourselves
from
the
midst
of
this
company,
and
I
will
consume
them
in
a
moment.
22
And
they
fell
on
their
faces,
and
said,
O
God,
God
of
the
spirits
of
all
flesh;
shall
one
man
sin,
and
will
You
be
angry
with
all
the
congregation?
23
And
Jehovah
spoke
to
Moses,
saying,
24
Speak
to
the
congregation,
saying,
You
get
away
from
around
the
tent
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram.
25
And
Moses
rose
up
and
went
to
Dathan
and
Abiram,
and
the
elders
of
Israel
went
after
him.
26
And
he
spoke
to
the
congregation,
saying,
Please
turn
away
from
the
tents
of
these
wicked
men,
and
do
not
touch
anything
that
they
have,
lest
you
be
consumed
in
all
their
sins.
27
And
they
got
away
from
around
the
tent
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram;
and
Dathan
and
Abiram
came
out,
standing
at
the
door
of
their
tents,
and
their
wives,
their
sons,
and
their
infants.
28
And
Moses
said,
By
this
you
shall
know
that
Jehovah
has
sent
me
to
do
all
these
works,
and
that
not
from
my
own
heart.
29
If
these
die
according
to
the
death
of
all
men,
and
are
visited
according
to
the
visitation
of
all
men,
then
Jehovah
has
not
sent
me.
30
And
if
Jehovah
makes
a
new
thing,
and
the
ground
opens
its
mouth
and
swallows
them,
and
all
that
they
have,
and
they
go
down
alive
to
Sheol,
then
you
shall
know
that
these
men
have
despised
Jehovah.
31
And
it
happened,
as
he
made
an
end
of
speaking
all
these
words,
the
ground
which
was
under
them
split
apart,
32
and
the
earth
opened
her
mouth
and
swallowed
them,
and
their
houses,
and
all
the
men
who
were
for
Korah,
and
all
their
possessions.
33
And
they
went
down,
they
and
all
that
they
had,
alive
to
Sheol,
and
the
earth
covered
over
them;
and
they
perished
from
the
midst
of
the
assembly.
34
And
all
Israel
who
were
around
them
fled
at
their
cry;
for
they
said,
Lest
the
earth
swallow
us
up.
35
And
fire
came
forth
from
Jehovah
and
consumed
the
two
hundred
and
fifty
men
that
offered
the
incense.
36
And
Jehovah
spoke
to
Moses,
saying,
37
Speak
to
Eleazar,
the
son
of
Aaron,
the
priest,
and
he
shall
lift
up
the
fire-pans
from
the
midst
of
the
burning,
and
shall
scatter
the
fire
yonder,
for
they
have
become
holy,
38
the
fire-pans
of
these
sinners
against
their
own
souls.
And
they
shall
make
of
them
spreadout
plates,
a
covering
for
the
altar,
for
they
have
brought
them
near
before
Jehovah,
and
they
are
holy.
And
they
shall
become
a
sign
to
the
sons
of
Israel.
39
And
Eleazar
the
priest
took
the
bronze
fire-pans,
which
they
who
were
burned
had
brought
near,
and
they
spread
them
out,
a
covering
for
the
altar,
40
a
memorial
to
the
sons
of
Israel,
so
that
an
alien
who
is
not
of
the
seed
of
Aaron
shall
not
draw
near
to
offer
incense
before
Jehovah,
and
shall
not
be
as
Korah,
and
as
his
company;
as
Jehovah
had
spoken
by
the
hand
of
Moses
to
him.
41
And
all
the
congregation
of
the
sons
of
Israel
murmured
on
the
next
day
against
Moses
and
against
Aaron,
saying,
You
have
killed
the
people
of
Jehovah.
42
And
it
happened,
as
the
company
was
called
together
against
Moses
and
against
Aaron,
that
they
turned
toward
the
tabernacle
of
the
congregation.
And,
behold,
the
cloud
had
covered
it,
and
the
glory
of
Jehovah
appeared!
43
And
Moses
and
Aaron
came
to
the
front
of
the
tabernacle
of
the
congregation.
44
And
Jehovah
spoke
to
Moses,
saying,
45
Get
away
from
the
midst
of
this
company,
and
I
shall
consume
them
in
a
moment;
and
they
fell
on
their
faces.
46
And
Moses
said
to
Aaron,
Take
the
fire-pan,
and
put
fire
on
it
from
the
altar,
and
lay
on
incense,
and
go,
hurry
to
the
congregation,
and
atone
for
them,
for
the
wrath
has
gone
out
from
the
presence
of
Jehovah;
the
plague
has
begun.
47
And
Aaron
did
as
Moses
had
spoken,
and
ran
into
the
midst
of
the
assembly.
And,
behold,
the
plague
had
begun
among
the
people!
And
he
laid
on
the
incense
and
atoned
for
the
people,
48
and
stood
between
the
dead
and
the
living,
and
the
plague
was
stayed.
49
And
those
who
died
by
the
plague
were
fourteen
thousand
and
seven
hundred,
besides
those
who
died
for
the
matter
of
Korah.
50
And
Aaron
turned
back
to
Moses,
to
the
door
of
the
tabernacle
of
the
congregation;
and
the
plague
was
stayed.

When

this
,
he
fell

Then
he

to
Korah
and
all
his

"Tomorrow
morning
the

Then
the

will

the

who

It
is
you
Levites
who
have
gone
too
far!"
8
Moses
also
told
Korah,
"Now
listen,
Levites!
9
Isn't
it
enough
for
you
that
the
God
of
Israel
has
separated
you
from
the
Israelite
community
to
bring
you
near
to
Himself,
to
perform
the
work
at
the
LORD's
tabernacle,
and
to
stand
before
the
community
to
minister
to
them?
10
He
has
brought
you
near,
and
all
your
fellow
Levites
who
are
with
you,
but
you
are
seeking
the
priesthood
as
well.
11
Therefore,
it
is
you
and
all
your
followers
who
have
conspired
against
the
LORD!
As
for
Aaron,
who
is
he
that
you
should
complain
about
him?"
12
Moses
sent
for
Dathan
and
Abiram,
the
sons
of
Eliab,
but
they
said,
"We
will
not
come!
13
Is
it
not
enough
that
you
brought
us
up
from
a
land
flowing
with
milk
and
honey
to
kill
us
in
the
wilderness?
Do
you
also
have
to
appoint
yourself
as
ruler
over
us?
14
Furthermore,
you
didn't
bring
us
to
a
land
flowing
with
milk
and
honey
or
give
us
an
inheritance
of
fields
and
vineyards.
Will
you
gouge
out
the
eyes
of
these
men?
We
will
not
come!"
15
Then
Moses
became
angry
and
said
to
the
LORD,
"Don't
respect
their
offering.
I
have
not
taken
one
donkey
from
them
or
mistreated
a
single
one
of
them."
16
So
Moses
told
Korah,
"You
and
all
your
followers
are
to
appear
before
the
LORD
tomorrow--
you,
they,
and
Aaron.
17
Each
of
you
is
to
take
his
firepan,
place
incense
on
it,
and
present
his
firepan
before
the
LORD--
250
firepans.
You
and
Aaron
are
each
to
present
your
firepan
also."
18
Each
man
took
his
firepan,
placed
fire
in
it,
put
incense
on
it,
and
stood
at
the
entrance
to
the
tent
of
meeting
along
with
Moses
and
Aaron.
19
After
Korah
assembled
the
whole
community
against
them
at
the
entrance
to
the
tent
of
meeting,
the
glory
of
the
LORD
appeared
to
the
whole
community.
20
The
LORD
spoke
to
Moses
and
Aaron,
21
"Separate
yourselves
from
this
community
so
I
may
consume
them
instantly."
22
But
Moses
and
Aaron
fell
facedown
and
said,
"God,
God
of
the
spirits
of
all
flesh,
when
one
man
sins,
will
you
vent
Your
wrath
on
the
whole
community?"
23
The
LORD
replied
to
Moses,
24
"Tell
the
community:
Get
away
from
the
dwellings
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram."
25
Moses
got
up
and
went
to
Dathan
and
Abiram,
and
the
elders
of
Israel
followed
him.
26
He
warned
the
community,
"Get
away
now
from
the
tents
of
these
wicked
men.
Don't
touch
anything
that
belongs
to
them,
or
you
will
be
swept
away
because
of
all
their
sins."
27
So
they
got
away
from
the
dwellings
of
Korah,
Dathan,
and
Abiram.
Meanwhile,
Dathan
and
Abiram
came
out
and
stood
at
the
entrance
of
their
tents
with
their
wives,
children,
and
infants.
28
Then
Moses
said,
"This
is
how
you
will
know
that
the
LORD
sent
me
to
do
all
these
things
and
that
it
was
not
of
my
own
will:
29
If
these
men
die
naturally
as
all
people
would,
and
suffer
the
fate
of
all,
then
the
LORD
has
not
sent
me.
30
But
if
the
LORD
brings
about
something
unprecedented,
and
the
ground
opens
its
mouth
and
swallows
them
along
with
all
that
belongs
to
them
so
that
they
go
down
alive
into
Sheol,
then
you
will
know
that
these
men
have
despised
the
LORD."
31
Just
as
he
finished
speaking
all
these
words,
the
ground
beneath
them
split
open.
32
The
earth
opened
its
mouth
and
swallowed
them
and
their
households,
all
Korah's
people,
and
all
their
possessions.
33
They
went
down
alive
into
Sheol
with
all
that
belonged
to
them.
The
earth
closed
over
them,
and
they
vanished
from
the
assembly.
34
At
their
cries,
all
the
people
of
Israel
who
were
around
them
fled
because
they
thought,
"The
earth
may
swallow
us
too!"
35
Fire
also
came
out
from
the
LORD
and
consumed
the
250
men
who
were
presenting
the
incense.
36
Then
the
LORD
spoke
to
Moses:
37
"Tell
Eleazar
son
of
Aaron
the
priest
to
remove
the
firepans
from
the
burning
debris,
because
they
are
holy,
and
scatter
the
fire
far
away.
38
As
for
the
firepans
of
those
who
sinned
at
the
cost
of
their
own
lives,
make
them
into
hammered
sheets
as
plating
for
the
altar,
for
they
presented
them
before
the
LORD,
and
the
firepans
are
holy.
They
will
be
a
sign
to
the
Israelites."
39
So
Eleazar
the
priest
took
the
bronze
firepans
that
those
who
were
burned
had
presented,
and
they
were
hammered
into
plating
for
the
altar,
40
just
as
the
LORD
commanded
him
through
Moses.
It
was
to
be
a
reminder
for
the
Israelites
that
no
unauthorized
person
outside
the
lineage
of
Aaron
should
approach
to
offer
incense
before
the
LORD
and
become
like
Korah
and
his
followers.
41
The
next
day
the
entire
Israelite
community
complained
about
Moses
and
Aaron,
saying,
"You
have
killed
the
LORD's
people!"
42
When
the
community
assembled
against
them,
Moses
and
Aaron
turned
toward
the
tent
of
meeting,
and
suddenly
the
cloud
covered
it,
and
the
LORD's
glory
appeared.
43
Moses
and
Aaron
went
to
the
front
of
the
tent
of
meeting,
44
and
the
LORD
said
to
Moses,
45
"Get
away
from
this
community
so
that
I
may
consume
them
instantly."
But
they
fell
facedown.
46
Then
Moses
told
Aaron,
"Take
your
firepan,
place
fire
from
the
altar
in
it,
and
add
incense.
Go
quickly
to
the
community
and
make
atonement
for
them,
because
wrath
has
come
from
the
LORD;
the
plague
has
begun."
47
So
Aaron
took
his
firepan
as
Moses
had
ordered,
ran
into
the
middle
of
the
assembly,
and
saw
that
the
plague
had
begun
among
the
people.
After
he
added
incense,
he
made
atonement
for
the
people.
48
He
stood
between
the
dead
and
the
living,
and
the
plague
was
halted.
49
But
those
who
died
from
the
plague
numbered
14,700,
in
addition
to
those
who
died
because
of
the
Korah
incident.
50
Aaron
then
returned
to
Moses
at
the
entrance
to
the
tent
of
meeting,
since
the
plague
had
been
halted.
John 6:49
49
Your
fathers
ate
the
manna
in
the
wilderness,
and
they
died.
Acts 7:36
36
This
man
led
them
out
and
performed
wonders
and
signs
in
the
land
of
Egypt,
at
the
Red
Sea,
and
in
the
desert
for
40
years.
1 Corinthians 10:3

They
all
ate
the
same
spiritual
food,
2 Corinthians 8:15
15
As
it
has
been
written:
The
person
who
gathered
much
did
not
have
too
much,
and
the
person
who
gathered
little
did
not
have
too
little.
