1. At that time the followers came to Jesus and asked, "Who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"

2. Jesus called a little child to him and stood the child before his followers.

3. Then he said, "I tell you the truth, you must change and become like little children. Otherwise, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

3. And G2532 said G2036 , Verily G281 I say G3004 unto you G5213 , Except G3362 ye be converted G4762 , and G2532 become G1096 as G5613 little children G3813 , ye shall not G3364 enter G1525 into G1519 the G3588 kingdom G932 of heaven G3772 .

4. The greatest person in the kingdom of heaven is the one who makes himself humble like this child.

5. "Whoever accepts a child in my name accepts me.
|

6. If one of these little children believes in me, and someone causes that child to sin, it would be better for that person to have a large stone tied around the neck and be drowned in the sea.

7. How terrible for the people of the world because of the things that cause them to sin. Such things will happen, but how terrible for the one who causes them to happen!

7. Woe G3759 unto the G3588 world G2889 because of offenses G4625 ! for G1063 it must needs be G2076 G318 that offenses G4625 come G2064 ; but G4133 woe G3759 to that G1565 man G444 by G1223 whom G3739 the G3588 offense G4625 cometh G2064 !

8. If your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose part of your body and live forever than to have two hands and two feet and be thrown into the fire that burns forever.

Wherefore G1161 if G1487 thy G4675 hand G5495 or G2228 thy G4675 foot G4228 offend G4624 thee G4571 , cut them off G1581 G846 , and G2532 cast G906 them from G575 thee G4675 : it is G2076 better G2570 for thee G4671 to enter G1525 into G1519 life G2222 halt G5560 or G2228 maimed G2948 , rather than G2228 having G2192 two G1417 hands G5495 or G2228 two G1417 feet G4228 to be cast G906 into G1519 everlasting G166 fire G4442 .

9. If your eye causes you to sin, take it out and throw it away. It is better for you to have only one eye and live forever than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.

And G2532 if G1487 thine G4675 eye G3788 offend G4624 thee G4571 , pluck it out G1807 G846 , and G2532 cast G906 it from G575 thee G4675 : it is G2076 better G2570 for thee G4671 to enter G1525 into G1519 life G2222 with one eye G3442 , rather G2228 than having G2192 two G1417 eyes G3788 to be cast G906 into G1519 hell G1067 fire G4442 .

10. "Be careful. Don't think these little children are worth nothing. I tell you that they have angels in heaven who are always with my Father in heaven.
